My friend has installed a customized theme for her computer but she can barely do anything now and it has deleted most of her work and she doesn't know how to be able to restore it back to normal because the pc has become limited? Is there anyone who can help? It would be much appreciated

She isn't able to do a restore...it says that the only way to fix it or something is to do it by cd but all of her work is at risk...can someone please help?

It sounds like this "theme" was some kind of trojan. I'd start with a fresh install of the anti-virus software and a total scan. There may not be a simple fix at this point. She's probably better off getting some professional help from a local computer store to recover her files and reformat the system.

If the data on the computer is really important, then take it to a computer shop, and have them retrieve it for you. When my computer began having problems like the one you mentioned, I tried working around it myself, but instead of progress towards fixing it, the situation only got worse. Before long, I had moved from a limited desktop, to a windows system that couldn't even boot up. By the time I admitted defeat and took it to the shop, my harddrive was dead, and there was no retrieving the files--no matter how important they were.

You may do the following:
1. Use system restore to restore your PC back to a date before that happened;

or

2. Insert the back up restoration CD, which will reformat your PC and your pc would be back where as if everything was just newly bought.
