I asked why you think a god created things...to provide your train of thought. I get garbage like this:" and nothing explains how wonderfully everything is made except the existence of a Creator."

Can anyone give me a train of logical thought that gets from 'there are trees and cars and things' to 'a god made it'. Or is it all a big blank in your mind that you parrot?

Can no 'believer' make a case for the very thing he's bet his life on?!

"annie, god did create everything you know, this is a fact, so long as you are open to changing your definition of "god"

Not really...if definitions were arbitrary communication would be impossible. I respect the dictionary.

"It's not that far-fetched that a species could have evolved to the level of a God."

Are you saying aliens created earth?

"The Bible says about His having created it.
No, I cannot make a case for it." AND
"It is not "all a big blank in my mind that I parrot."

Seems it is.

"Still a bit misty there, so I'll abstract it out a bit more:
"I don't know the answer; therefore, this is the answer."

The flaw there is blatantly obvious. The 'argument' is completely contradictory. An answer is given even though the argument itself states that the answer is unknown as it's basic premise."

Exactly. Very well said. I know this, of course, but how can they not face this truth? How can their life hinge on complete nonsense? They don't act like this at their work. They find answers...they think...they face reality and don't act on faith. But when it comes to the foundation of their lives, they throw rationality out the window and act like complete idiots. What happened to their brains?

"Get over yourself, since when is it MY responsibility to prove to, and provide a logical argument to YOU and give YOU a train of thought. Aren't YOU ashamed of YOU presumptive and patronizing behavior?"

Why did you chose to answer my question at all? I'll put you down as 'parrot'....no rational answer given. And thanks for showing your christian spirit. Sounds like you have some serious issues.

So, give me your train of thought....how you got to that conclusion.

No I am not ashamed. God did create the Heavens and the Earth. Think about all the tiny cells contained in the Human body. All the wonderful humans that have excelled in the World. They just didn't come out of a Volcano . Only God know the Mystery of that.
The Human body alone contains so many wonders. How it can heal itself ? The evidence ,
in regards to all the Biblical findings from thousands of years ago. Every living thing has a different body chemistry, that proves that God made all things. We just didn't hatch out of the Earth. God needs to be capitalized. Please.

i will try my hardest

consider the cell. the single celled organism is considered the simplest living thing on this or other planets. whether you consider cells or ignorant members of society the simplest is more than likely a personal preference, but I digress...

the cell is referred to in most circles as "irreducibly complex" among other things to that effect. quite simply, there are no superflous parts. every single part of that cell is necessary for it to do anything, other than die.

now, my memory may be a little off, but the statistic is, under optimal circumstances, even adding a bolt of lightning for good measure, the chances of one(1) amino acid(many, MANY amino acids are needed to create one protein, of which multiples have to assemble, in the correct order, to make one cell) was the numerical equivalent of a tornado going through a landfill (or junkyard, if you prefer) and assembling a fully functional, fueled, stocked, ready to fly Boeing 747 model passenger airplane, complete with trained pilot and workers for passengers, as well as enough of the landfill cleared for a runway. hey, thats not too bad, that could happen!

oh wait, i left off the last part. It has to do all that, get this, eleven times.

in a row.

so there, to all logical bystanders, that pretty much effectively debunks evolution. which leaves, among minor theories, the ever-prominent "Theory of Intelligent Design", which, for all intents and purposes, says that everything was created by something that knew what he was doing.

if that does not satiate you, there is also the prominence of geometric shapes in nature, and then theres always the magnetic field of earth (which many say "just happened") that protects us from all manner of nasty space radiation that would fry us all to a nice bright magenta and kill us, albeit very slowly.

hope this helps, feel free to email me with any questions/rants/evidence-im-an-idiot that you have at lvl14stairmaster@gmail.com.

It is my shame that knows respect for that which preceded my existence. It is my Will that allows me the possibility of hope for knowledge. Knowledge of having ability to act on that Will gives me purpose. Knowing right and wrong gives me competence and being for others gives me morality. Morality gives me duty and duty gives me identity. And what is a creation that has not identity. Certainly not human. But we go farther than that: family. At the end of that there is positive self respect or despair. If in despair from where do we derive hope. People who want a personal God want an existence with purpose. I don't think they shall surrender that hope that quickly.

Has immediate attack ever worked to the positive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galileo

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

Hey Annie, this questions has been asked many, many times before.

I will put it to you this way, Get over yourself, since when is it MY responsibility to prove to, and provide a logical argument to YOU and give YOU a train of thought. Aren't YOU ashamed of YOU presumptive and patronizing behavior?

What I want to know is, why do Atheists such as youself keep coming on here demanding (very rudely I might add) answers? I don't come on YA demanding Atheists to prove to me God Doesn't exist. Check my history of questions if you want. You'll find no such questions asked from me.

Apology to mature Atheists. I do relize you exist and have manners. You are the sort of Atheists I enjoy reading. Not this nastiness.

You may have some issues. That's ok.
What you called garbage above is good stuff. Take another look at it. I know yours is not ready yet, but there are things that you don't see because of doubt and other issues.
Remember, there is no human logic to divine reality. The human eye can't see spiritually, yet love exists.

God is way beyond any reasoning!! HE is all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful, & almighty!!! He did create the people and gave the concept and imagination to those people who made everything....and I firmly believe that God has a hand in all that we have!! I am not ashamed of anything, since this is the first that I have seen of this question.

Have a blessed day!! ( :

My Train of thought is knowing and feeling that God is in my heart, and accepting Jesus Christ as my personal savior is what opened my mind and heart to the understanding that God is in control!! I hope that you too become saved from eternal damnation! IT'S CALLED HAVING COMPLETE FAITH!!! God Bless!!

With all due respect! Why should I be ashamed? What are you accusing me of? Where's your proof???? No blank in my mind, I did my research before I believed anything. And as for the answers you don't like, you'll only get the type of answer by the type of question you ask.

I think some people aren't as much "thinkers" as they are "believers". It takes all kinds to make this world go 'round!

Accept that not everyone is willing or able to think about the big "How?", "Why?", "Who?" questions that you might - and you need to accept that that is okay. For some people the world right outside their own door is a big, scary place - do you really expect these people to ponder the greater questions of the existence of cars, trees, the world and universe?

To grow as a person you need to realize that your thoughts and questions are just as valuable and important as the faith of others.

Cheers!

What? I am not ashamed at all. I did not see your question.

I think God created the world because I have faith in Him, and I believe what The Bible says about His having created it.
No, I cannot make a case for it.
I am not on trial.

I know full well that God did not create cars, computers, etc.
Men did so, with the brains that God gave to them.

There are many things that I do not understand. I admit that.

Do you understand everything? Are you all knowing?

I am being honest. You say that none of us ever admit to "not knowing all the answers." Now you damn me for not knowing and for admitting that I don't know.
Damned if I do, damned if I don't.
You just can't win with some of you people.

No matter what I say, you attack. Why is is so very important to you?
I think God created things because I do.
PLEASE do me the courtesy of just accepting that. How am I hurting you by believing in God? How?

No matter what anyone says, you call it "garbage." What do you want me to say?

We are ignorant. You alone have all the answers. You alone are right. We have been woefully wrong. You have helped us see the light.

Would that satisfy you?
Would it help you feel even more superior?

Man.....some people....just can't accept different beliefs.

Life evolves. The more a species evolves, the more likely it is to become god-like. Survival of the fittest, you see.
Human beings can create, on a small level.
So why can't you imagine a creator that made this universe?
It's not that far-fetched that a species could have evolved to the level of a God.

No, not aliens. Aliens would be a part of our universe. You asked for logic, but you can't seem to grasp logic.
