Only you can answer that question. For myself I try not to put anything harmful deliberately into my body ( the temple for the spirit) or anything that will cloud my judgement.

If smoking anything was OK by God He would have told us so in The Bible. It would have been listed in the Laws of Moses. But since it has no good medical benefits for the human body I would have to say it is a sin to God just as eating pork would be.

Yes it is. Here's why...
In the bible it says our body is our temple and that we are to respect it and keep it healthy. This means anything that defiles your body, is a sin. Being promiscuous, harming your body with chemicals, cutting yourself, etc. if all wrong. Weed kills the cells in your brain, and can even cause you to have abnormal sperm or fertility issues. Since God created our bodies to reproduce, I'd say that's sinful.
However, God forgives, and we're in no place to judge, so I simply suggest you get outside help and try to quit. Love yourself enough to not need that escape.
Peace!

It's a sin to smoke. Period. If you are a Christian, your body belongs to God and is His temple. Doing ANYTHING that harms or alters it is a sin against Him.

the reference to your body as a temple is taken out of context here. st paul, by referring to our body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, was talking about sexual impurity. not smoking or drinking.
is it ok for a christian to smoke weed? is smoking weed against the law? if it is, then don't break the law. christians are law-abiding people.

Yes, it is a sin because you are opening yourself up into the demonic realm. Sin cuts us off from the presence of God and this is what smoking weed does to you.

in all honesty...it is something that grows naturally. In society it is illegal. But after today's release of information that weed helps reduce the risk of breast cancer...the government will legalize it.....but i am sure GOD put that plant in this earth to help us relax from our lives....i smoke all the time and believe GOD wants me to...other wise he would of made sure it stated so in the bible.

Sin doesn't exist. Evolution is fact. Which means that Adam and Eve never happened, thus original sin does not exist.
It is UNWISE (to much better phrase it) to smoke weed.
