If you have a Remington 700 in-line, it's a muzzle loader. I don't think they make it anymore. They've replaced it with the Genesis. The best thing to do is check with your local gun shop to get a fair asking price. Condition, blue or stainless barrel, etc. will determine the value. Some shops will even sell guns for you on consignment. Christmas is coming soon so someone might be looking for a gift so it might be easy to sell. Hope this helps.

Mary,

Sorry things ar tight for you as well. I am afraid I cannot answer your question with the information you have provided yet. In addition to the Model (700) there are many variants the BDL and ADL for instance and also the various calibers and any scope or add ons your husband may have added after market purchase. If you can post more information it would be easier to determine the value for you.

Good luck and once you establish a value I am sure you should be able to find a buyer quickly if priced right.

I am a little confused now. Is it a muzzle loader or centerfire rifle?

It can't be an inline black powder, and a bolt action centerfire. No such rifle exists.

UPDATE...You mentioned "In-line". If you have a Remington 700ML (Muzzle Loader-Discontinued) in excellent Used Condition it is worth $225-$250. Add an additional $20 if in Stainless Steel.
