Anyone remember this 'prophecy' from the Damien movies?

When the Jews return to Zion
And a comet fills the sky
And the Holy Roman Empire rises
Then You and I must die.
From the eternal sea he rises,
Creating armies on either shore,
Turning man against his brother
'Til man exists no more.

Does this prophecy really exist in the bible? How much it has actually happened? Is any part of it true?

Yes, I well remember it, but I didn't go to the movie, because I still reckoned it glorified antichrist.

It is a 'prophecy' made up of bits of biblical prophecy and is mostly correct as regards what is to come :

1. The Jews have already returned to Zion - May 1948 and set up their own state, so this much is fulfilled. However, so far, many of them are in unbelief, and have yet to return to the faith of their fathers.
(Gen. 26:3, Is. 11:11, Jer. 23:8, Eze. 34:13, 36:24, 39:28)

2. The comet filling the sky might be to do with signs in the sky before the second coming, but I do not know of any specific comet references.

(Luke 21:25)

3. The Holy Roman Empire reference is a reference to a revived 'Roman Empire' - a socio-political-economic entity which many students of bible prophecy believe will reappear in the end times.

(Rev. 13, 16, 17, 18; Dan. 2:28, 40-44; 7:7-8, 19-25)

4. 'you and I must die' - is a reference to the great bloodshed that will happen at this time (Dan. 7:21, 9:26, Rev. 6:4,8; 9:18, 12:17, 13:15)

5. Rising out of the sea - the beast antichrist arises 'out of the sea of nations' - Rev. 13:1.

6. Armies : antichrist is immensely strong in military might and his god is a 'god of forces' (Dan. 11:38). 'Who can make war with him?' (Rev. 13:4)

7. Turning man against his brother - yes, antichrist will be a divider of men, though most will support him. The people he will be against will be the Jews and Christians, though not initially.
(Dan. 8:23-24, 12:1, Rev. 6:9-11,11:3-7,12:1-6, 17, 13:7,15, 20:4)

The last part of the prophecy 'till man exists no more' is against biblical prophecy, for the Bible specifically says that many will perish in the time of the end, but that mankind will not be completely wiped out.

(Jer. 4:27, 46:28, Matt. 24:22).

As I said, the first part of the prophecy, about the Jews coming to Zion has been fulfilled - in 1948 and specifically in 1967 (6-day war in which they regained Jerusalem), but the remainder waits till nearer the time of the end.

One of the signs that we are nearing the end, and the physical return of Jesus to Jerusalem, is the sign of Zion, but also the Bible talks about a peace treaty of 7 years (but that is another story), so watch world events!

Bible prophecy is given so that we can check out these things - it is a warning - and it is another piece of evidence that the Bible is true. The right response to these things is to believe the Word of God and seek the Saviour, Jesus, before it is too late.

Well, it's a cute little rhyme that is based in several prophecies found throughout the Bible. Essentially, it is accurate in its progression.
So far, only the first line has been accomplished, and that happened as recently as May of 1948.

After an absence from their homeland for over 1,900 years, the Jews were able to call Israel their homeland once again.
That a nation regain its own land again after that long is an unprecedented event in human history. Zion refers Mount Zion, Jerusalem.

As for the comet? Well, there's always the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Some have equated it with the prophecy of Revelation 8:11. Chernobyl is the Ukranian word for "wormwood."

Revelations, yes it sounds fairly scriptural

When the Jews return to Zion
***Jews returned in 1947 to their homeland***

And a comet fills the sky
And the Holy Roman Empire rises
Then You and I must die.

From the eternal sea he rises,
***Speaking of the AntiChrist***

Creating armies on either shore,
***Armies on both sides of the world will gather***

Turning man against his brother
***Bible speaks about this for sure***
'Til man exists no more.

Yes, the Jew have returned to Zion, Israel, in 1948. The rest of it's futuristic.

Also, "the Holy Roman Empire rises" refers to the one-world, political system, which gets a deadly wound. Then, satan, playing his role as antichrist, heals it. That political system, IMHO, will be the UN, not the Holy Roman Empire.

Edit:

Bobby Jim, good catch with the Chernobyl nuclear accident.

No, it does not exist in the Bible and is erroneous.

Jews will return
No Comet
No Hoy Roman Empire
No one dies at the coming of Anti-christ
Does not come from eternal seas
No armies on either shore
man will always exist

Every one will THINK that the antichrist is great. (at first) From what I've read the only thing that definitely not happened is the Jews rebuilding their Temple. and to do that I think that the Palestine"s will have to come down. I do think that if it does they are prepared to put it up in a matter of a couple of days. But I really don't know. Not even the Son knows when he will return.

partly....true

jews have to return to Zion...this happened in 1948

comet named wormwood is named in the book of revelation as a sign of the endtimes.

it will actually be the revived grecian empire with the teeth of ROme......a union.......

there will be earthquakes and floods..etc,

there will be one last big war against Israel, and the enemies will lose the battle because God intervenes and save Israel.....the enemies, however, will be not just defeated but destroyed.

just the righteous will remain on earth when it is over.

As a Christian, I believe as long as you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and you believe that he is Lord...basically if you believe in the Apostles' Creed, you will be saved and you don't need to worry about this.

Of course you need to try to keep God's commandments as well as you possibly can and repent of your sins, too:)

The End Times are prophesied in the book of Revelation, however, even the best scholars only have interpretations of it, no one except God himself knows how the world will end and what the situation with the antichrist will be.

Never mind if this one does not exist in the current version of Bible of Roam Catholic Christians, they will add-it-in in the next Version and start calling it word of God (God may forgive me).

When they can make up for a peron who was called teacher by his followers, in Armanic they call it 'Jesus' then one day, they might in the name of their Baby-god Jesus Christ
