No it is not easy to get rid of this trojan i have tried McAfee that failed to remove it and i have tried Spybot.

Yes. It will also get rid of windows and all your programs too, you sure you want to do that?

I think you should first try getting a good anti-virus here's one I'd recommend. (Avast). It's totally free no catches just go to - www.avast.com. Download the home edition, then go to the registration part of Avast fill in your name and email address to get the registration key. Let Avast sort out what is can before you do anything else.
Make a backup copy of everything you can. Then reinstall windows this should get ride of the Torjan BackDoor-CVT.
Before you put anything back on your computer that you may have backed up (reinstall Avast) and make sure everything is setup ready.
Check your backups for virus before they go on the computer it's alot safer this way....

Format will get rid of it along with windows and all your files. Re-installing windows won't be an issue but make sure you don't re-install the trojan when you put your files back,

Before, you reformat go to
www.superantispyware.com and download the Free version. Check for updates before, carrying out a scan

Try SpyWare Doctor. its very good.
I formatted recently because of viruses. Im glad i did it, windows starts fast now and there are no viruses. just make sure you backup all your documents, music, etc.. before formatting.

I would have though it was easier to get rid the malware than to reinstall Windows.

Yes. But most antivirus software should do it. Reformatting is a drastic measure.

if you re format the hard drive that the trojan is on propaly
