Go to the ER. My brother was bitten by a cat and got an infection. He was in the hospital for a week. Cat bites aren't something to mess around with. I am on antibiotics now because I cut my hand with glass, and it got infected. Don't mess around with it.

OK, first don't panic. Sure SOME cat bites can cause diseases, but it is not so usual. However, kittens have very sharp teeth and they bite deep and it hurts and is swollen for many days.
Even if you go to the ER, the only thing they can do to prevent infection is to give you antibiotics. So, if you are worried, take an antibiotic ointment (Fucidin) that you can put on the finger, and also take antibiotics as pills (e.g. Amoxicilin) for 4 days. Careful to use the correct dosage, read the instructions. Don't take the medication if you are allergic to penicillin or other drugs. Only take an antibiotic that you have used before with no problem.

u have to calm down , and answer this, did u take ur cat to the vet for her shots yet or not? . if u did then that would probably be not a big matter , not forgetting to mention that the cat is inside the house and eats cat food and doesnt get out right? .
im gonna have to say something else which might not be related , but i was bitten through the years from cats that i was rescueing and dealing with many times and nothing happened to me (must be lucky i guess), still there is something called inside thoughts reflection , thats when ur fear of being hurt reflects on symptoms such as pain even though there might not be anything, but ur mind starts making u go through pain cuz u cant get it outta ur head.
if u r in too much pain then u should go to the ER at least to make sure that its only ur head scaring u and not something serious.
dont be embarassed if u went there for nothing, at least u might have a chance of saving ur life through that embarassement dont u think?

good luck
hope u get better

Animal bites transmit saliva under your skin and can be very dangerous, If the area is throbbing, swollen, hot to the touch, or you are running a fever, any of those are signs of infection. I would go to an urgent care center, most have weekend holiday hours, you dont need an appointment. You will be seen by a doctor more quickly than the ER and it will cost you alot less money. You can find an Urgent Care Center near you in the yellow pages

You can go to a walk in clinic, but you should start on antibiotics. Sounds like you got an infection in the wound. You can also call the vets and ask what they do about cat bites when they our their tech staff gets bitten, some places give a shot and that's quicker than antibiotics, by getting the name of the medicine in the shot you can specifically ask for that when you go in.

You really should go to the emergency room and start on antibiotics right away. It sounds like it was a deep puncture wound. We all have staph bacteria on the surface of our skin and the puncture can take that bacteria deep into your body. Don't play around with this and wait. Do something right away!

if your cat has had its shots, it is less of a problem. do go to the doctor if it doesnt stop hurting. alot of times the E.R. and doctors offices will give you the option of making little payments over time. call and make sure before you go though. in the mean time. but some benzoyl peroxide on it to reduce the chance of infecions

Yes, your health is more valuable than your money.
It shouldn't be throbbing..
See the ER anyway, don't worry about embarassment..
