Hello,

You have to confess your sins to Jesus and live for the Lord to be a “saved” Chrisitan. You should study the Bible; God's Word....baptism is a very important part of your Christian life.

When Jesus was on the cross a man to the right of him (a thief) asked for forgiveness and Jesus said this day you will be with me in paradise…the man didn’t have time to be baptized…but Jesus took him to paradise. So, no you don’t have to be baptized…but we should be…Jesus did it…so should we.

Luke 23:43
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

You responsibility is the have a relationship with the Lord. At some time you shouldl want to be baptized.

There is a lot tied into the baptism of Jesus, he was baptized at the beginning of his ministry and he is called the bridegroom…the church or believers are called the bride (in the Bible). In a Biblical time marriage both the bride and groom went through a type of water cleansing ceremony and I believe this why Jesus was baptized and why I believe we should be baptized.

EDIT: Yes, that's correct...being saved and being baptized are two different things.

God loves you,

Faith

I believe so, but there are many people who don't believe so. The thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus said "today you will be with me in paradise". I think baptism is more a thing you do to symbolize Jesus washing away your sins. I was baptized because I wanted to be, not to get to heaven.

No, the Bible says "except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God". John 3:5.
