I was making chocolate chip cookies and didn't pay attention and put salt instead of sugar. I'm at the end of the whole baking. I already added the chocolate chips and want to know if I can fix them or just throw the dough away?

um, I don't really think there is a way to get rid of the salt. I know it's a waste of food, but I'd through it out, unless you want chocolate salt cookies. Yummm.......eeew. LOL, anyway, if you still have enough ingredients, then I'd make another batch.

Those are more like pretzels than cookies! Sorry. Even Martha Stewart can't save those.
Since you baked 'em you might as well try one right? Who knows - you may like it!

I made a "salt" cake before. Did the same as you did with the cookies. Thought it might turn out ok.

Put it in the oven and it smelled like heaven. We all stood around salivating. I took it out and rubbed melted butter over the top. It looked so good we dove right in.

Then we all spat it out and threw the cake away. lmao

sorry about your cookies but salt is the opposite of sugar. you would need some kind of major sweetner to make that taste good.

put a cup1/2 of honey, and a cup of syrup, add half cup of cacao, and a glass1/2 of milk, and cup of rasins, turn that in to a cake. not bad.

Depends how much you added. If you added just a pinch, ok. If you added like a cup, toss it most defiently.

I'd just throw it away. They would be way too salty, not sweet enough. In other words- gross.

Bake them and then save them for April Fool's day.
