As salaamu 'alaikym, my freind.

Insha'Allah, as a parent of a seven year old daughter, I have not found a "cool" way to introduce religion however, I have found an honest, simple and sucessful way.

My daughter observes me practicing my religion consistently.
She sees me pray at home and at the masjid.
She and I contribute together to charities and to the masjid.
She sees me read the Holy Qur'an and I read it to her, as well translate the Arabic into English (or the language of her choosing).
We talk openly and honestly about what it means to be a Muslim, why I chose Islam, how we are taught to live our lives, how we should treat other persons, how we feel when people discriminate against us becuase of our faith, etc.
She takes as much interest in religion as most children her age will. Sometimes she prays with me, other times she chooses not to. Sometimes she chooses to wear her hijab, sometimes she doesn't.
We have also talked about Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, the commericalization of the most religious holidays, and the like.

Insha'Allah, children learn more for what they see their parents do than from what their parents say.

Ma'a salaam.

Not really, nor should there be. If you truly believe something all you can really do is share these things and why they are important. Then let them come to their own conclusions.

Unless you're looking for the child to treat religion as something of a fad or phase.

Take them to a religious store and show them around. Than get them into the right groups and make sure you control their friendships and what media influences them. Make sure at school all of their teachers are of the same religion as your promoting. Eventually your child will be so brainwashed they'll be eating out of your hand.

If you really had any religious knowledge or wisdom at all you would not have to ask the question, your 'religion' would provide you with an answer.

Each child born is a 'seed' of God consciousness 'planted' on the earth in order to help transform the world into a paradise.

The last thing we need is another person drowned in the senseless confusion of 'traditional' 'religious' hypnotism.

Nope...

You should always tell a child the truth and with religion you can't do that. You must make them believe in the supernatural and unsubstantiated miracles which is nothing more than bs. I suggest you let them make up their own minds without being indoctrinated into those beliefs.

Is there a "cool" way to tell kids how they should think and what they should believe?

Indoctrination is way cool! Suck the thoughts of choosing for him/herself right out of the mind through brain washing! Yay! Another drone in the making! And don't forget to instill fear!

Most decent size churches have children's church and youth groups. The best way is to sit down with your child and read him/her bible stories.

take them to a house of worship that has a good childrens program.
if they think its fun, then they'll want to go be a part of it.
but make sure its not cheesy, but real-life. cause cheezy church=not fun.
i wanted to get striaght out of church when it started going "omg, god is so cool. lets praise him".
make sure its not bs, but truth.
