These questions bother me, but I'll answer. It all depends on the person fighting. Of course, you will find comments here that will be very rude and disrespectful to the master, comments claiming that he wasn't as good as people thought and he was just an actor and a nobody, all of which are not true. But Bruce Lee had many things on his side, and I think, yes, he could, depending on who that 6ft8, 300lb man was. Bruce Lee had been defeated before he started martial arts, many times, which was the reason he started.
Like water, plants, and fire, each in turn defeats another. Bruce Lee eventually would have been defeated by someone somewhere along the line, but sadly, he isn't able to continue anymore because or his unfortunate and shocking death, and nobody will know.

I'd expect any competent martial artist to be able to move faster than a 300 lb man, and that would make it quite simple to beat the big guy.

However, if the big guy you have in mind is highly skilled and able to move with lightning speed - which is not very likely - then he'd be very much harder to deal with.

Remember, even a tough guy has weak points that can be injured by a skilled defender.

Bruce Lee was very fast indeed. I'd reckon it would be complete and utter "no contest".

yes he could quite easily....but only if the man wasnt a trained fighter. if the 6'8" 300 lbs guy was a trained and skilled fighter...no theres no way bruce could win with such a size disadvantage. bruce was good but he wasnt a god. hes 5'7" 160lbs at the heaviest he ever was and your talkin about him fighting someone whos got over 100 lbs on him as well as a foot taller...so odds are bruce would lose...unless like i said the big guy isnt skilled at all

What if?
Sensei are you jealous? All you do is put down Bruce Lee. Did you know him? Have you ever met or trained w/a original student of BL?

Depends if the 6ft guy is martial arts guy himself. But I doubt it. Bruce Lee will win.

Instead of speculating about something that you'll never know, why don't you just watch the Genki Sudo (145 pounds) vs. Butterbean (400 pounds) fight.

Why do idiots keep asking these stupid questions? Do feel so threatened by a dead man? If you want to see smaller guys beat up bigger guys just watch some of the early UFC bouts. There was one where a 200lb Kenpo Karate guy KO'd a 600lb sumo wrestler. If you want to see stuff like that you can always watch K-1 in Japan. They still have open weight fights like that.

no he cannot defeat tim silva(6foot 8inch)for the following 5 reasons
1#bruce lee was only 5foot6inches(even two inch could be good advantage in martial art)
2#he not had enough muscle. He looks very thin.(that might make him fast)
3#he not left any records.
4#even if he could dominate his weight class .It is not possible for any bantom weight fighter to defeat heavy weight superstar.
5#all japanese, indians, chineese are physically weaker than europions.

Hey Maximus! Yeah I think Bruce could take home boy down. He is too flexible, fast, and limber! Just because someone is 6 feet+ and 300 Ibs don't mean they can win! Think about it, they're gonna get tired fast because they fat.
