For 15 years I walked every where, I struggled with bags, pushchairs and kids. People I knew drove past me and beeped their horns, while I was struggling, with shopping and 3 small children, they never stopped and helped or offered any help ever. As the years went on I met a guy, we had a child (who's 3 years old now), though we split up, he brought me a car, so I would not have to struggle again. I love my little polo, I appreciate it every time I turn the engine.
I always make a point, if I see someone I know, struggling with bags, kids or shopping. I stop and help, I NEVER beep my horn and drive off.
My ex (who's now one of my best friends) done the nicest thing possible in giving me that car.

I've had people bring me on lots of crazy adventures around the world and get me some pretty expensive gifts. Even still, the nicest thing ever was when my girl bought a cake for me for my birthday, but found they had forgotten to write "Happy Birthday Bill!" on it and were out of the icing for that... so she melted some chocolate bars and spelled it out on the cake herself. That was so thoughtful to me, it brought tears to my eyes.

Let me cry on the phone to them, and never gave up on me, i know plenty of guys who'd have run a mile.
We didn't work out, but he stuck by me the best part of a year, and I happened to be going through the hardest year of my life (reasons not related to him ;]) and I'll be forever grateful that he was there.
Because just being there made all the difference.

It got me through the roughest time in my life and all of that from a stranger. He is now my best friend and I will always love him for what he done for me.
