No particular reason for asking, Fuzzy, it was just a progression of ideas. I was thinking about trolls, and went on to think about vindictiveness in general.

Samuel Crow, your answer is racist. Surely you mean all terrorists or are you happy with other kinds?

Certainly if I feel hard done by, but then if I hesitate I would probably be in a position to say why did that person do that to me,it's good to remember where that other person is coming from, perhaps their anger or disagreeableness wasn't really vented against you, you just happened to be in the firing line at the time.

After two are slapped and two are kicked I am ready to hurt someone.

Yes, I find it damn difficult. If someone has no more respect for me than to strike once, then they will not receive a tremendous influx of respect by me if I offer them a new target.

Cheers

Depends on how real and close the danger is. If it's a snot nosed kid yelling abuse from across the road, you just call his mother a whore and be on your way ;-)

You're gonna have to give me a more specific scenario hunny bunch, like the reason that has made you ask this question and the Jesus one. Go on give me the dirt ;-)

I think everyone human :) finds it difficult at times, but being a Christian makes it easier to do so. When you know and love as Christ does, that love overflows to you and I, for one, want to let it overflow to others so when my life they see, they see Him also.

Yes, with some groups it is not possible. These include Muslim terrorists, child molestors, communist Chinese, murderers, etc. I can turn the other cheek on a personal leval in my own life, but not be blind to the world.

considering I'm a human being, it's going to always be hard, but Jesus said to do it. So even though it's hard, I just keep praying that God'll help me to do it.

Oh yes I do. But it feels better when I can get above something and just let it slide

I think as human beings we will all find it hard to "turn the other cheek" sometimes. That doesn't mean it is not a worthy goal.

Yes, but if Jesus did it, it's gotta be worth imitating.

I am not confrontational at all but don't cross me, because once I turn, that's it.
