Yes I find the CO's words interesting he is right about Irishmen from both sides of the Border serving in the British Army over the Centuries, and very good Soldiers they were too.My own Father was in the Royal Irish Rifles in the First World War, in France ,Egypt and Incidentally Funnily enough Iraq and then after joined The Irish Army in 1922 The Irish Free State or Saorstad Eireann as it was known ,so he was Army Mad. I wish SGT Major Frankie O Connor well and the other Troops and I hope they get back Home Safely ,best of luck from Dublin.

I don't know who you are reffering to. Your own CO, or Sgt. Major?
I always did listen to my Sgt. Major. He had the most experience.
If you are going to that country, I wish you the best, and hope you return safely.
Keep your head down.
