Not only that, but their infantry runs faster backwards than forwards. Plus they aren't issued any ammo, just flags with peace signs.

This is a truly offensive question. The French are a very well equipped army. Their air force has some of the best fighters in the world, which by the way they are supplying in limited quantities to the NATO force in Afghanistan. Unlike say the Germans, who feel that having their medevac units stationed in Uzbekistan is putting them close enough to the war.
I know that poking fun at other countries is a way to get over the insecurities that are caused by your president putting you out on a limb, but it doesn't make it any less offensives.

Only one who runs faster than French Infantry is consr-wimps when told he might have to serve overseas he ran so fast out of the cushy air force base in the US home to mom in Yuma ! and crying said can you help me forge a DD213 (well sometimes he says its a DD214 he flip flops on that one as much as Hillary does on her foreign policy). His DD213 says on it I SURRENDER I do not want to do any real service.
As for French tanks lol, actually they have a fairly decent one, in WW2 it was Italian tanks that had no forward gear.

The amount of suffering occasioned by WWII in France is impossible to assess and should not be forgotten.

You are correct sir. The French Navy was commandeered by the Germans and French crews actually fought for the axis. They are a cowardly people.
