This "Gospel" was proved to be a fake. It was written in the 14th century!!!

According to Matthew 1 and 2, and Luke 2, Jesus was not a twin. I have to confess to never hearing that one before!

There has been a lot of debate over the place of the Gospel by Thomas, as to when and where it was written, who wrote it, why it was written, and so on. I've seen enough evidence to say the "gospel of Thomas" doesn't belong in Scripture. One example is Tatian's book, the Diatessaron (or, Through the Four Gospels), written before any of the major church councils (Nicaea, Ephesus, and so on). The point is that the Church, early on, recognized the four Gospels we have in the New Testament as Scripture, and no others.

No doubt there were a lot of quotations or "sayings of Jesus" being distributed through the known world, but that in and of itself doesn't mean there was a fifth Gospel counted as Scripture. So let me encourage you to stay with the Bible as we have it. It will do you good!

There are many gnostic writings. There were rejected by the early church. They claim secrets but Christianity is an open religion with public revelation. Gnostic means those who know the secrets It is thought that Thomas is called the twin not because he was a twin of Jesus but because he looked like him. The apostles preserved the teachings of Jesus through the church, Those teachings are either in the bible or in tradition. Paul mentions this. He tells us to keep what was handed down(tradition means handed down) by word or in writing.

LOL, Jesus did not have a twin brother.

Gospel of Thomas did not meet the criteria for the bible and one of that was the late time line.

Given that the NT was written some time after the Romans killed Jesus, and given that most of the authors of the NT never met Jesus, I don't know how you figure that there are any 'direct quotations' from Jesus in it. I never heard of Jesus having a twin. How could he; according to you he is the son of G-d and not a mere human being, so how could he have a twin?

After reading the Gospel of Thomas, I can understand why the Catholic Church refused to put this forgery in the canon of sacred scripture. Its a fake.

Jesus did not have a twin brother -LOL.

That gospel was already discerned to be unreliable.

No - the New Testament is as it should be, complete.

There is no Gospel of Thomas in my Bible, so therefore there is no such gospel that was intended to be included with the ones we now have. God makes no mistakes.
