Been away, haven't seen you in a while.
How've you been?
Have you changed your style and do you think
That we've grown up differently? Don't seem the same
Seems you've lost your feel for me

So let's leave it alone, 'cause we can't see eye to eye.
There ain't no good guys, there ain't no bad guys.
There's only you and me and we just disagree.
Ooo - ooo - ooohoo oh - oh - o-whoa

I'm going back to a place that's far away. How bout you?
Have you got a place to stay? Why should I care?
When I'm just trying to get along We were friends
But now it's the end of our love song...

So let's leave it alone, 'cause we can't see eye to eye.
There ain't no good guys, there ain't no bad guys.
There's only you and me and we just disagree.
Ooo - ooo - ooohoo oh - oh - o-whoa

So let's leave it alone, 'cause we can't see eye to eye.
There ain't no good guys, there ain't no bad guys.

I like it a lot.
I wish it would be the theme song for this site.

I especially like the chorus.

Thanks, friend.

Well, can't refute that fact. We're a long way from slavery where one man had power over another, using bodies any way they pleased, it was the soul no one could own back then. But these days, meh. I think my body is my own, but why do I slave it out to everyone else's needs and whims? I draw the line somewhere and please myself, but there was a time when (if I were a slave) I could not even marry if my master so wished it. I would not sleep if my master wished it, and if my master wished it, I would be put to death. All that was needed was a mistake on my part, and my body and soul were disassembled

I love, love, LOVE this song. Dave Mason. I just sang half of it aloud and the neighbors ran screaming into the streets.

If by 'spiritual' you mean two people agreeing to stop talking religion, politics, etc. to salvage their relationship then I think it speaks well to 'leaving well enough alone'. All I know is that whenever I have a disagreement with someone I love, I play the lyrics over in my head and try to let go of my anger and frustration for the evening. Tomorrow is a new day. There's no sense beating a dead horse.

My goodness, it's platitude city here! ;-)

I have always loved this song. I can't remember who does it but I could hear it in my head as I read it.
It's meaning is pretty straight forward. I don't see any spiritual connection. I see two people that use to love each other but have grown apart. Neither one is to blame, that's just the way love and life go sometimes.

I don't know what's spiritual in it.
I can hear it in my head when I read the words.

It sounds to me like two people that don't have the committment to solve their differences, and are cool if the relationship ends.

Dave Mason song. I always thought it was really depressing. Not really very commital, no passion there for each other at all. Very blah.

very nice
reminds me of the Depeche Mode song
" people are people "

just people who believe differently
no right or wrong
just people
agree to disagree and move along

Relativism. No good, no bad. How did you come to that truth? Selah.
