What size is your cutting board? I'm going to ask for one for Christmas. I'm debating between a 24x18x2.5 inch one ($85) versus a 18x12x1.5 inch ($60). I have the countertop room for the larger one but plan on moving within the year. Does anybody know what size most tv chefs use? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Im looking to buy from cooking.com.

The bigger the better for me.

My biggest one is 30 * 30 and I use it for pastry. I wanted a marble but the wood one works well too as long as you don't cut on it.

Depeding upon how much you cook, I would just suggest the smaller one. Storage space, counter top space (for when you move) may become an issue. I used to have a few different sized cutting boards, made from every type of wood (actually like the bamboo the best) but now I have fallen in love with the colored flexible cutting boards. You can get them in packs of 5 in different colors, for different types of food, makes it easy for storage and clean up, and for pouring chopped ingredients as well.

Unless you are a pro chef, I do not think you need the larger one. The smaller one would be fine, and it is cheaper too.
