This is for a Digital Picture Frame purchased in the US and we want to use it in Uruguay.

Not if you normally use it on 110 VAC. If it doesn't have a switch on it that says "110" in one position and "220" in the other. Or it might say 110/220 which means it will accept either with no problem. Otherwise, you would need to get a power adaptor. They are not expensive and can be purchased at almost any store with a luggage department.

9V, 2A is the output to the Digital Frame.
You need to check the input specs. If it is 100-220V AC then you can use it anywhere you want.

If it is only 110V AC, then it is for the US only (unless Uruguay uses 110 V AC as well.)
