Why do people think Allah and God are totally diffrent?
Allah is just the Arabic word for God
Yhwh is the name for God for Jews.
and God is for christians xD

We all have the same god, but we all have a diffrent view of god is all.

Not really, we all have the old testament in the bible and quran.
See, we have something in common.
although most people don't like that.

I totally agree. It's just that every religon interprets God differently. I am Christian and in our church we were taught that everyone can go to heaven but some Christians say that only Christians can. They say that because they believe you have to follow God in order to go to heaven, but other religons do follow God, they just call him a different name.

Obviously there is a one God concept in Islam, Christianity and Judaism. However the teachings in the Koran about this God differ from those of the New Testament and Old Testament - although there are ideas about His nature that are the same. For instance a muslim might pray for severe punishment on those who had mistreated him, but this disagrees with what the New Testament says. The New Testament says all men are sinners, and so God will withold forgiveness if we don't forgive others for what they done to us - hard in practice for us humans.

The bible teaches us that there are many gods, but only one God. There are many lords, but only one Lord. That is why when we use these words lord and god, we must be on the same page to have the same meaning.

The Christian God has a son named Jesus, who was begotten of a virgin, died the third day and rose again and sits in heaven making intercession for us today.

The Muslim god has a prophet named Jesus, who did not die on the cross, and did not rise again.

Both religions believe that someone named Jesus shall return at the end of the world.

Since the bible teaches that if you don't have the son you don't have the father, there is no way they can be the same god.

Many non-Muslims have come to incorrectly believe that Allah is the ‘God of Muslims’ – A deity somehow different from the God of the other faiths. It should be emphasized that the term “Allah” has no implied meaning at all of an Arabian god, a Moon god or even a Muslim god. Muslims are not claiming any exclusiveness when they say "Allah". However Allah is simply the Arabic Name of the one Almighty God; the same name by which Arabic-speaking Jews and Christians, refer to God. The Allah comes from the term ‘al-ilaah’. Al is the definite article in Arabic, equivalent to ‘the’ in English, while ilaah means ‘a deity or god’. So Allah means The God. This is beautifully articulated in the first pillar of Islam which is to believe that God is One, in Arabic it would be, "La ilaha illallah" meaning "There is no god but God"

"The similitude of Jesus before Allah (God) is that of Adam; He created him from dust then said to him: 'Be', and he was." The Holy Qur'an,Chapter 3,Verse 59

For the record I understand that Allah means God to some......but lets face the facts here.....

The ONLY time I hear the words Allah, someone or something is getting blown up or killed. I relate that word to Tragedy and pain. I am NOT saying everyone who worships Allah s bad I am just saying that everytime I hear the words Allah something bad happens and whoever it is that does the bad thing praises ALLAH.

If the EYES see it and the ears HEAR it.......Perception.

Because there are different.

For example. I'll say that my cell phone is God. Isn't it the same as Allah, since I call them both God?

Allah cannot be the same as the Triune God, since Allah is not defined that way. Just because they share a same word/name doesn't make them the same entity.

(Allah is commonly understood to refer to the Islamic God, obviously)

Allah is not the same as Jehovah of the Bible. The quran and all muslims reject the Holy Bible and Jesus Christ as God.

Because they think Islam is a cult and that Muslims worship the moon or the devil which isn't true. The people who say ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) is a different God are probably Christians who worship Jesus(PBUH*) and his mother Mariam as Gods instead of ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala).

The Koran states that Allah is God and that he has never been begotten, nor will he beget any other...obviously this cannot coalesce with the Christian God...Allah can change his will and his mind...Jehovah does not...another contradiction...Jehovah sent his son to redeem us...Allah sent nothing, no promise of any means of salvation
