Psamls 14:1 says -only a fool has said in his heart there is no God!!

How coudl you'll not?? Everything that surrounds us is clear proof that a higher Supreme is over man!!

Think about computers,tree,ipods,the sun the moon,the stars,anilmal,cats,dogs,cars..etc

There must've been someone to create those things.NO, it wasn't a man who created them ...somone created a man...and someone created the thoughts in a man to bring about inventions like the car and ipod!

Man, I LOVED Santa. Then they said, 'Oh, we're foolin'.' Then they said, 'God is this vengeful wrathful bearded invisible man in the sky who watches you even when you poop and wants to send you into a lake of fire!" I giggled.

God bless you, U&ME. I know you mean to make a point here and enlighten some. Unfortunately, it seems some are simply stuck on stupid. I have decided to not even bother with some of the people that are so stuck on their atheism, they refuse to even consider eveidence to the contrary. And yes, I have read various atheist publications and web sites! Those that are willing should consider reading I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FAITH TO BE AN ATHEIST by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek. Most probably won't do it, because it is easier for them to just criticize that which they do not understand.
Have a Merry Christmas!

By the way, for those arguing that order does not imply design, think of this simple example. Throw the keys from a million keyboards in a large dumpster and see if they randomly spell out a lengthy novel. Not likely. If the letters spelled out the words to WAR AND PEACE (a very lengthy novel) it would be hard to convince me that it happened all by chance and did not have an intelligent designer!!!

And how do you propose that we define this "higher" being?

With religion? With science? There is no evidence for gods. That humans see beauty in nature is not evidence of a supernatural force, only that we've evolved to consider things aesthetically.

Let's put it this way: All religions assume that a god has human traits and places our species on a tier of importance.

But why is the earth only a tiny fragment of the universe, which contains billions of galaxies? Why does our scientific understanding of nature show something more ancient and complex than any religious book assumed? Why did humans constantly engage in wars for over a hundred thousand years, and *only now* did this "divine" religion get invented.

And most importantly, why do you assume that this god is Christian? Why is it only one god? Why couldn't it be Zeus, or FSM, or any other concept? Furthermore, there is no evidence for the supernatural or reason that the universe would need an outside force in order to exist. Why would it make sense to be a theist if gods are not explained by nature and the only reason people believe in gods is emotional?

The watchmaker's argument has been debunked many times now. The order and complexity of life can be explained by natural selection acting on self-replicating organisms with a propensity for genetic mutation.

BTW, I have prayed sincerely in the past, without prejudice or expectation. There was no response. So that line of reasoning is out.

Oh, there is something greater than us, definitely. It's called "nature". And there is no reason to suppose it has a conscience or a plan for us. I don't doubt that there is some sort of higher order of which we are a part. What I don't believe, and what all abrahamic religions do believe (and christianity even more so than judaism and islam) is that humanity is particularly important to this force. The very idea that god is "someone" is projection, and the idea that this someone had a child in human form... that is just incredibly egocentric.

I pray Every Single Night.
I never relized this, and ive never told a single soul before either,in my area,a little boy got lost in a park when his foster mother had some sort of seizer, when she woke, little Marcus was gone.
i prayed for the next 3 days that that little boy would be okay, that he would possibly be found, and that if he is not, that he does not suffer,if he is kidnapped, that you will bring him peace, and if he is with you Lord,Then That is Best.
one night i had a dream(at this time i had been reading a series of unfortunate events)
the dream was suddenly like flash back, like i was seeing pictures of this cartoon dark house...
then i remember seeing 3 children being thrown into a dark closet and being locked in.that all i remember of the dream, couple days later, more like weeks, news came up saying the little boy was actually killed by his foster parents,by being taped up and thrown into the closet for nearly an entire day.
i couldnt help but remember that dream.

I'm so very glad that you believe in God, I too believe in God, but to ask unbelievers who obviously have not had a God encounter, such questions is to want negative answers. Remember, they don't know Him. They are not born again, they think that because they make request(prayers) that God is obligated to answer them, it's like saying to someone, hey, you must answer your phone even though it say's in the caller ID, that is a telemarketer. they won't answer the phone and neither will Holy God answer a prayer or doubt, heartless sincerity. By the way for those of you out there who are probably fuming right about now, I was not raised in a religious household, neither did I come from a denomination. I was a heathen, who had no clue as to who God was, but one day, I was so sick and tired of the way I had wasted my life in false persuits of "happiness", that I just cried out, to God, if you are real, please reveal to me, what you want from me, and I will follow you no matter what. And He answered, the Holy God of heaven actually spoke to me, it was not my imagination, nor was it my own voice that I heard but His. as long as people are content with what they have, and keep believing what the world has to offer them, their hearts are not ready for what God has in mind for their life, God has a plan, but if they want to find out what that plan for their life is, they will have to seek Him with their whole heart. Jesus said, you shall seek me and find me, when you seek me with your whole heart. in other words, when you get so desperate for Him, that everything else becomes as nothing, He will be there with His nail scarred hands ready to receive those who come in Faith.

This is why your questions get deleted. They're now not specific questions, simply you quacking. ETA obviously your schooling was once wasted as good, you cannot learn with ease group recommendations or comply with recommendations.

Q -- "For those of you who dont believe there is a GOD... Whats your REASON for your belief??

A -- All the atheists I've ever met have had the same reason. No PROOF! And you can't fault them for that. It is their RIGHT to want to see proof, and atheists are every bit as nice and worthwhile people as everone else. They don't deserve to be harrassed by obnoxious people who can't mind their own business.

-- "Roadrat" -- Sensible, normal, and *unobtrusive* Christian who respects **everyone's** beliefs. (Except those of extremists who seek to interfere with people's personal liberties... like those folks in Sudan who want to see a British teacher executed for no good reason.)

To "Princess" -- That IS *satire* that you just submitted, right?

It is so much easier to believe that we are ancestors of monkey or was it fish or was it a bubbling brew. I mean there was a big bang and we mutated to what we are today. wow looking at it this way , I realize how stupid it sounds. It is easier to believe that there was a creator, Thank you
