Obviously food, water, proper bedding, catnip toys. I want her to be mentally stimulated and satisfied 100% She's under 1 human year I think and she was a street kitty. Super friendly but she's still independent at times and I've got all these things for her but she meows all friggin night some times. I tried letting her out today and she sniffed around for like 2 seconds, heard a noise then bolted back inside.

I've had her for about 4 weeks now, she ran up on me and my cousin by this church on the corner of our street one night, scared the shcrap out of us. Thought it was a very forward raccoon or something. She's always super friendly and I dont really crowd her. Before I brought I went looking for her and she followed me all the way back to my place I opened the door and she just waltz right in with out a fear in the world so I think she's past the exploratory phase.

I love the way you said she 'waltzed' into your home and sounds definitely like your heart, too.

You have provided her with all the necessities. Just a little attention and playtime is all I can think of!

Has she been spayed? Some agencies tattoo the belly of the kitty. If there is no tattoo, your vet may be able to see if there is a surgical scar. It would be best since you say she is a street kitty, to schedule a wellness check with the vet.

Here is a website with ideas about working with kitty so everyone gets a good nights rest.

Purrs to you and your new kitty.

Cats will do that when they are jsut getting used to their owners, They want their space, and especially in a new house, they want to first thing.. explore. Let it do so, it will only make her feel much safer. Put the litter box in a closed in umcommon area of the house, they like their privacy just as much as we do. If she is a kitten let he sleep with you the first couple nights. NEVER EVER let her outside if you plan on declawing her. That is outright animal cruelty.

Cookie, my cat does that. Is your cat a cailco? Most do. Even my neighbor's cat does too, even if they are related to normal American cats. I suggest getting cat nip filled toys to please her. I really hope this helps!

Take her to the vet to be fixed if she is not already.
