As poppyette said, as atheists, we arent able to imagine such a thing in your terms BECAUSE we are atheists.
Can you as (Im going to assume a Christian) imagine what would happen if the end of the world came and there was no god...how would you feel?
Moreover, how would you feel if there was a god...but not the one you spent all of your life worshiping?
And no I dont care because I dont buy into it not because I havent had a discussion with a god.
Just as it would be impossible for you to imagine a life without your personal god, it is the same for the atheists and anyone who is not of your religion.
Let go of Pascal's Wager...if you wish to repeat others, next time, repeat something more logical and one that hasnt been torn apart to the ends of the earth.

I have no idea what I would actually do if in the end there is a real god, but at this point, I will say that I would question why he wanted "me". Why would he want someone so flawed and imperfect... And why would he punish me for my flaws and imperfections that are so deeply rooted in my genetic makeup and environment by having me burn in hell?
Would not my imperfections reflect on his inability to create a better human?
So your question is saying to me that I may burn in hell because I am a "reject."
Many years ago I worked at checking encoded bank printing for errors. I would pull the errors out and toss them in a destroy bin. What exactly was it that made a thousand checks print correctly and the next 20 be off center and then correct itself? But I would pull the 20 "bad checks" and send them to the reject bin to be burned (destroyed).
Here I was playing god and didn't realize it!

What would happen if the last day of your life came and you found out there was no God, you would truly be lost. Seriously think about what you would do. Would you cry? Would you bump into the walls of your beliefs? Would you have wasted your whole life believing in something that was not true?
You know you would care if you wasted so much time.

I will answer your hypothetical question.
If Judgment day happen and I got caught as an atheist. I would admit I was wrong to myself, I would wonder how god could make himself look so obviously non existence and then make 80% of the population go to hell, because not only atheists would be caught off guard. I would then go to hell tell satan he had the right idea about god and join satan for a cup of tea and wait out the rest of eternity...

If, if, if. What if you reach the end and you simply snuff out. Nothing more. Won't matter to you then, but does it give you cold chills right now? I'll bet it does during your moments of doubt and rational analysis. You do have those, you know. You just quash them and deny them to others.
If such a revelation actually occurred, I would react however I react. I've never been in battle, and I like to think I would have the courage to engage my foe rather than run. But, I really don't know what I would do because I've never been there.
Atheists have doubts too. I don't have doubts about my spirituality or my choice to reject religion. I have the same doubts that all humans have. I just deal with them instead of praying to something else to resolve them or give me the strength that I can find within myself and in the love of those close to me.

1. Wonder if we were hallucinating/the reality of what we were witnessing.
2. Shrug our shoulders and admit that we were wrong. There's nothing for us to feel guilty about seeing as there was no evidence to make us think otherwise.
3. Have a lot of questions to ask of god, if he/she/it were willing to talk to the millions of us at once.
Even if god exists does not mean that there is any truth in the religions that exist today; and, if one or any of today's religions was true, it does not mean that we would be sent to hell.
And if we were it would be a great big party with all the athiests, agnostics and people of religions not following the now proven "correct" religion.

If god was going to send me to hell because of the life I have lived, which is much more moral than most christians I know, then I would rather be in hell than in some place with people so immoral, but one he likes.

Hello.
Well, we, I mean 'I' would reason with 'It/I AM' by remembering a detailed account of my life, from the age of 20 (before that I was immature, so I did things without thinking first;then I would speak of wisdom as being like salt, as in 'take it with a pinch of salt'). There's no need to have any fear!
Hell- that's illogical to people to experience if they was not able to reach conclusion after having received their OWN REVELATION.We cannot commit ourselfs to blind faith in a word where our philosophy will do us greater good. I woud not cry, because that would be immature and childish.
Kind Regards

would god really send me to hell just because i don't believe in him even if i led the most respectful life a person could lead? Is he really that shallow? If so it doesn't sound like a god I want to be with for all eternity anyway.

I'd say that I am angry with Him for the painful experiences he has allowed me to go through and I would very much be hesitant as to be sent to a Heaven for eternity with a God that would allow such evil to occur. There is no God.
