there is a $600 80gb ps3 that comes with 2 games (there good games) an extra controller and 5 blue ray movies(with mail in rebate), but the movies aren't good.
is this a good deal.

would it be better for me to get the 40gb one and buy all the stuff. also i heard they were going to stop making the 40gb one. is this true.

is the only differencd between 40 and 80 more memory and not able to play ps2 and ps1 games on the 40

And ya, anyone can get the free five movies, it is available with the purchase of any Blu-Ray player.

The 40 gb cannot play PS2 games, but it can play PSX games. People have been mistakenly saying that the 40 gb cannot play PSX games.

If you must play PS2 games on your PS3, then you should go ahead and get the bundle. The 600 buck bundle is a good deal. 2 PS3 games is going to cost you 120 bucks, then you need another 50 bucks for an extra Sixaxis. That's 170 bucks for 100 bucks. You save 70 bucks.

I think you get 5 free Blu-ray movies no matter which version you get. Think of it as a bonus. The choice of movies do suck, but it's free.
