I understand what you are asking, and actually and am in a similar boat.

Currently, I am attending college to get a degree in business, as that is where I feel my best talents are. The college education will allow me to get into a good paying job through internship and then a permanent position in a company.

I think the only direction one could give from the limited information about yourself is to speak with a counsellor to help establish what your path should be. Or perhaps you just need to decide yourself what your passion is, find the job that fits it, apply for it and get it.

Good luck.

With an attitude of not having to be told what to do you are in for a very rude awakening. It shows a sign of immaturity, a vain , know it all , pushy personality which does not exemplify the qualities of a leader. So LISTEN UP!! First learn to take criticism, Second, put your listening ears on. And third, emulate some of your elders, who have been through the same experiences with the same assertiveness and found they needed more than direction.

It sounds like a career in sales would be good for you. Most sales positions allow you to sort of be your own boss. They give direction but don't watch everything you do. If you are persuasive and self motivated it could be the right thing for you.

Find something you like or enjoy doing and then find out how it is marketed and try to get onto their sales force.

Sales of almost anything, cars, farm equipment. You could teach other sales people how to be persuasive and assertive without being pushy and overbearing.
