Okay if you get getting relieved from the military and they said they are going to pay for the transportation/movement costs to your home of record.. like when are you allowed to use that money?

If your "final out" day is the 4th of December do you have to move back home ONLY on the 4th??

Or can you like wait to week to try to find a new job (and if you dont?) Will they pay TMO after you tried to find a new job?

Sorry if this sounds confusing

They shoudl have a TMO class for you to do and fill out the paper work. Secondly They pay you half of the money up front then once your move is finished they pay you the other half. And you give them a tenative date when you expect to move so if you are out on the 4th then tell them you want to leave around the 8th.. whatever.. just so long as 45 days after the 8th of december you have finished your move and sent back the proper paper work back to TMO saying you completed your move.

TMO has your answer. It all depends on your seperation status. I retired and had 18 months to actually move. 4 years and out probably gives you six months

Less than honorable would be a matter of a days to weeks

yes it is confusing, Are you talking about the payment for your transportation to your home of record? Or are we talking about Household goods. Also how long on active duty ? there are different rules if you are retiring. Normally your transportation or mileage is paid as part of your Final Out processing.

Best to question Finance on the base but you'd better do it yesterday.

If you are retiring you have one year from date of discharge to move your household goods to just about any place on earth. If you are just being discharged I think you only have 30 days from date of discharge to move. But if you have a good reason for not being able to move within those time frames, I think they'll give you extra time.

Better check with your Transportation office.
