You're going hardcore Christian Philosophy here, Catholics, which branches out of Christianity, believes that all repentants and good people, who believe or not, will find heaven. Just thought I'd point that out quick, but you do make sense of the whole idea, I asked a Jahova's Witness that, and he said non-followers of Christ will be punished, and I slammed the door in his face breaking his nose, but thats neither here or there. When we die, apparently one of four things WILL ultimately occur...
1) Our bodies will rot in the ground and nothing else.
2) We'll be sent to Purgatory to work off our sins if they aren't extreme, then go to heaven.
3) We go straight to Heaven.
4) We go straigth to Hell.
Either way, non of it seems promising.

Hello,
I like the approach some theologians take about that baptism of desire where a person born and indoctrinated into another faith may make it to heaven if he is good and does great things for others.
That said, it is a bitter pill for me to swallow at times but Christ does say very clearly that I am the vine and you are the branches and you only get to the father by me.
It is frustrating to think that a guy like Al Capone or some mass murderers would get to heaven instead of Ghandi or the Dali Lama and Christ's followers were not that happy to hear it but that is why he gave the sermon of the prodigal son to show how the system works.
Still though, the majority of Christian denominations say you must also live a good life and follow Christ's teachings. Just being reborn is not a license to sin for the rest of your life. Such belief contradicts what Jesus taught.

The bible does not teach that, but some men do. The bible teaches that God accepts all who live godly. The bible further teaches that those who have religions other than Christianity and have faithfully followed their religions shall live on after judgment day, but from generation to generation, and not eternally. The bible further teaches that the books, plural, shall be opened and men judged out of them, meaning all religious books. It is clear it is not the book of life, as there is never a plural used when mentioning the book of life. The bible teaches that all people will walk in the name of their god in the end of the world who have lived righteously, and Christians shall walk in the name of Jehovah forever.

Romans 3:23 " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God ". You , me , any pastor , the pope , any body , deserves hell for just one sin alone and we have thousands on record . God is willing to forgive those sins if we admit we are a sinner deserving hell , and trust ,believe in Jesus and accept him as our savior . Any body after hearing the word of God can be saved . Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved ".

First off...what would you consider a good person? Someone who has only lied a thousand times in their life? A hundred? Did they only commit adultery once? What defines a good person? I mean compared to a perfect God and his angels (not fallen angels) who have never sinned, how could you compare yourself to that...God demands perfection plain and simple and even one white lie is enough to do that. Nobody matches up to that...Faith in Jesus, imputes His righteousness to the sinner, the Bible says that "He who new no sin became sin for us,"
You see only a perfect sacrifice could substitute for a sinner, after all, God is not just love, He is also just, he demands a penalty for sin, thankfully Jesus fulfilled that requirement, you just need to accept that to go to heaven.
This is what the Old Testament sacrifices were pointing to, A perfect lamb dies because of sins a person commits, it was a symbol of Christ's perfect life, taking the place of our sins, that is why we no longer make sacrifices after Christ's death.
God also says that he is willing that none should perish, and also that nobody comes to Him on their own accord, God has to draw them, so the fact that a person is drawn to God is proof that he is trying to bring them home to heaven.

You misunderstand the salvation process, the why and how. Man can do nothing to bring salvation, it is all a work of God. Man, in his natural state, is totally depraved, unable to do anything to please God. He is born in sin, with a sin nature. The Scriptures say all our "good" works in the flesh are worthless before God. If you wanted to try to attain Heaven based on your "works", God would have to look at all your works, good and bad. If one sin is found, you are condemned, one sin is enough for eternal punishment. That is God's economy, not mans. God chooses out some for salvation, He does not have to, but chooses to, for His good pleasure and for His glory. Our sins do not deter the salvation given by God, David, a man "after God' own heart" was an adulterer and murderer, yet God saved him. Jesus made it very clear, He is the only way to Heaven:
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
It is only through Him that you will find complete forgiveness of sins, redemption, salvation and justification. Either Christ paid for your sins, or you do, there is no other option.

Yes we do. But for Muslims, hell is not a place of permanent punishment. They will have to undergo punishment till they pay for the sins committed by them. After that they will be freed from hell and brought to paradise. Therefore, as holy prophet of Islam has said: " A Muslim is between hope and fear " That is we are afraid of punishment of sins and at the same hopeful that God being the most kind and forgiving will forgive our sins and admit us to paradise. It all depends upon your sincerity and love for God. Muhammad Javed Iqbal

Jesus was the only person that physically walked the earth that was a "good person" All have fallen short of the glory of God! Nobody is a "good person" We all have sinned. There is no one that has never done evil(except Jesus).

If you want to be a good person and you get to know of Jesus, you would believe in Him and if you obeyed Him you would go to heaven. If for some reason you were not able to know that He is the Son of God and you all the same want to be good and do good, Jesus himself will welcome you to heaven.

Only Christians believe that. Now consider this: Christians rely for their beliefs on the NT - yet it was written long after Jesus died AND by men who never even met Jesus!
Christians also insist that the old testament/Tanakh mentions Jesus several times. But as any Hebrew scholar will tell you, he is never mentioned. Christians rely on incorrectly translated Hebrew yet even when fluent Hebrew speakers tell them this, they refuse to listen!
Mad, or what?
