I read this question and the linked article:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Alj0mTNWDGErnHPE_lmoyiXsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071201121944AA1hy8q&show=7#profile-info-f4c5f36a540069fbe952ea342c721c74aa
I then started to wonder at what age can a child make the decision for themselves that they die? How do you test whether they can or not?

Shane you already showed your ignorance on that question, there is no need to make it worse.

Lavender: Although your heart may be in the right place your mind is not. Why would a perfect being ever make laws only to repeal them later? Would that not show a mistake?
Lady_Phoenix: No, I was not making a point I was reading a question from someone attempting to make a point and from that spawned a question. I see no point in attacking the product of something bad rather than the source of something bad.

Its not a question of age.
It is a question of maturity.

I say that the parents should still be responsible for a child's decision at the age of 14. If the other legal ages in the USA are 16, 18, and 21, then how does a kid get to decline medical treatment at 14?
I just don't get it.

O.K. I went to that link. I read an answer by a mother name Debbie. She said she had some sickly kids but they all pulled through with JHVH God help. She also said in the Bible its says "Abstain from blood and good health to you." Well where is that "good health" if her kids was sickly and there's still JW's dying from not taking the transfusions? Isn't that all confusing. They take one scripture that says one thing and then it just don't match up with reality? You know why they still don't have that "good health"??? Its because they got the "abstain from blood all wrong". When the blood was mentioned in the Bible, I can only remember that blood was use for sacrificing on the alter of JHVH God. Jesus came and made a New Covenant with man and so Jesus said the Law has ended so ALL can be saved. That includes the Jewish people that way they are not tied down to the "law". Don't worry that boy will not be forgotten by God Almighty. In fact I believe in the resurrection he will be first in line because of his faith and love for his Heavenly Father. The JW's parents should also remember that JHVH God STOPPED Abraham from sacrificing his son Isaac. I pray for their enlightenment from JHVH God. I care for them because of my friend and I wish them to live happily ever after. Do not die, I will miss you.

I think this depends on the child. In the case of the other question, the judge had to interview the boy and decide whether he understood the consequences of his decision and whether he was making it on his own or because of his family's pressure. I don't think you can test it until the time comes and the situation is as hand.

He may well be feeling to blame for the period of his existence. injuries or injuries, they don't seem to be planned. that's destiny. Blaming him and beating the hell out of him and leaving is a incorrect flow which you probably did. You the two could have long gone forward and had one greater baby. This time he could have been greater to blame father. Now which you have left him, you are able to’t do something approximately it. have faith me whilst we talk he may well be suffering greater effective than you because it befell because of the fact of him. stable which you're in a clean dating. My friend, your question is nothing more than an attempt to make a point....why are you trying to pass it off as anything else?
I agree with you....it's shameful that kids' fates are at the hands of sometimes twisted adults....but that is reality. They don't choose for themselves as long as they are children.

It depends on the child. A child can understand early or later than others. I happened to know earlier, when i was about 7(I was baptized then).
