I have put something on there and have been made an offer that I want to accept, but I assumed it was a collection only site but they want me to post the item. Is this normal? Is it just like another eBay sort of thing?

" ... listing allows you to exchange goods or services with another user. You can choose to accept or decline any posted offer. When listing an item for Swap, you only have to enter the shipping cost. Since the goods are not for sale, you will not be asked to enter a price."

Assuming neither yourself nor the other person entered any shipping cost (I assume not, otherwise you would know they have to pay your shipping and you have to pay theirs), you could point this out to the other person and say 'I accept ONLY if we meet in person to do the swap' .. if they do not agree you can decline the swap.
