But it seems that they are all "scams" Can anyone tell me if there is a web site that lists companies that would hire? and I could trust?

Most of them are scams, especially if they ask you to send them money. I did find one site that actually lets you work from home, but you have to be good at writing. I did it when I was strapped for cash earlier in the year. They want you to write articles for them, about almost any topic, and then they pay you between $3 and $20 for each through paypal. They tended to pay me between $4 and $10. All of my articles were pretty short. You also get a bonus for page views. It's called Associated Content. You can google them. Apparently Yahoo doesn't like their address which is associatedcontent dot com. It is legitimate, I swear it is. I've made about $300 from it in the last year and I don't really write very much for them. You could probably write a lot and make more.

It's not much, but it does help when you need grocery money. If a site tells you that you can make $10,000 a month working part time from home, run away. Can we say scam? If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Just about every work from home job that you get solicited for on the internet or in email is some type of scam.

However...the world IS changing. Some excellent companies are finding that there is an alternative to moving telephone customer service to a 3rd world nation. It involves telephone customer service from your home. Those companies that "do it best" hire workers withing a limited mile radius, so that the person can be trained in office and come in for meetings and development once a month or so. Jet Blue does this with ALL their reservations around Salt Lake City. Hilton does this with almost all their reservations around Hemet, CA; Dallas, TX, Tampa, FL, Streator, IL...and I think they have a small center in PA. Some companies have tried and don't do this very well, and some do it seasonally. For an opportunity that is available in several states, try 1-800-Flowers at this address:

You got a lot of advice on this. A hind - if you decided to go to school for medical BILLING, be aware that it is tough to find jobs and tougher to find them willing to let you work at home. On the other hand, medical transcription, once you've gone to school and are certified, involves a LOT of opportunity, and many people work from home.
Good luck!

Hi Malena. I work from home. I know that it's really tough to find things that you can do from home. You can look into what I'm doing. I'm an independent consultant for Arbonne International. It's really easy and a lot of fun. It's only $29 to start with no monthly requirements, obligations, inventory, mandatory meetings, or minimums. Arbonne has a simple successplan that allows anyone to do this business.

There are 7 avenues of income including 35% - 80% Retail Profit, Bonuses, Mercedes Benz Program, Overrides, Life Insurance Benefits, Travel Opportunities, and Monthly Campaign and Incentive Programs.

This may or not be a fit for you but I would be happy to share more about what I do with you. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to visit my website or email me and I'll be happy to help you.

You won't find the info you want on a website. As you have figured out, they are pretty much all scams.

If you worked before doing something that could be done from home, check with your former employers and see if they have any work where they'd let you telecommute.

Babysitting for kids of moms who go out to work or selling on ebay can also make you some money.

I dont know if you'd be interested in medical billing but I used to work with a lady that did it from her home. She would have doctors offices mail her the paperwork or she would go pick it up so she could bill out the patients. I was going to do that but the work didnt interest me, but you could start out working in an office and alot of times they will let you move to your home.

There are NO Legitimate work from home jobs where you get paid by an employer. They do NOT exist.

You can choose to invest money and start your own home based busines, but you will have to pay for stock, advertising and taxes.

I have asked the question before of internet seekers of information, don't we have newspapers any more who list jobs in the classified ads section ? Have the state employment agencies been closed? Does everything have to be done with the computer? Aren't there some telemarketing opportunities available or have they all been transferred to India? My pop said" Seek and you will find."

One of my friends works from home as a transcriptionist. She works for a medical facility and they supplied her the computer, etc. She can set her own hours. I don't know how much she makes.
