1. Hunting is legal. Dogfighting is illegal.
2. Hunting isn't simply a matter of killing. It's a tightly controlled game management tool that improves the overall situation of the wildlife. There are strict ethical controls on how it's done, so that even when a practice is legal, an ethical sportsman will turn down a shot if it isn't ethical. Hunting has been a part of human existence since prehistoric times, and society in general considers ethical hunting a valuable positive experience. Dogfighting has never had general acceptance and for the past seventy or eighty years has been though of generally as a brutal and non-sporting activity.
The fact that animals are killed in both situations is not a logical parallel. Picking out a small part of the two that's similar does not make for anything resembling a logical argument. Dogfighting goes into a category more akin to poaching, which hunters universally abhor as well.

this question is as retardedas they come... im assuming u are against hunting? well if u read in the laws there is a specific law against dog fighting and rooster fighting yea it called ILLEGAL! hunting is clearly not illegal because shooting undomesticated animals is not bad, throwing a couple of dogs in a pen and making them fight each other till the other one dies is... do you know how they make them fight? they give them crap to make them crazy its quite inhumaine and just as dog fighting is is illegal so is some hunting stuff... such as u have to have a 40 lb. bow and ur not allowed to shoot a deer w/a 22. do you get the picture? so before you come and ask stupid questions get ur facts straigt

To answer your question , you need to talk with both Dick Cheney & Mick Vick. I am sure they will be able to clear the matter up for you.* I am sure Mr. Cheney would like for you to go Hunting with him.* Don't forget to duck.*

Cheney was not killing domesticated animals, Vick was. The Law is pretty clear on this point, that there is a difference.

cuz it's not like dick cheney electrocuted them or strangled the animal or body slammed it,one shot,BAM and it's done.and plus, hunting is natural.Animals do it and wouldn't live without it but dogfighting and torturing the losers is just cruel.

Any non-felon with a hunting lisense can hunt wild animals during regulated seasons, but DOGFIGHTING , the setting of two domesticated animals against each other in a fight to the death, is ILLEGAL.
What part of that DON'T you GET?

Because hunting is legal, and dogfighting is illegal. You have a brain, learn how to use it.

This is a legal matter. You need to consult a lawyer that practices interstate law since the acts in question occurred in different states.
