my mother had cancer removed from her lungs.supposedly all went well.my brother than flew to another state to be with his son(he lives with his mother) who was having surgery done on his heart.all went well.but my brother is not coming back home until monday.he has been a mental wreck.after he left,we found out our mom lung cancer had spread to her brain.should we tell our brother over the phone or wait until he gets home?

Mojo I am so Sorry about your mom. I think the best thing to do
is wait for him to come home. Let him have just a little peace of mind until he get's home.He sounds like he really needs a rest. Again I am very Sorry about your mom. I lost my mom 14 years ago from cancer. One thing!!! No one can do is replace mom.I hope you stand together as a family and get threw this terrible disease. Blessed Be..

Personally if my mom had brain cancer I would much rather be told in person. I think you should wait until he gets home especially if he is having a difficult time right know. At lest when he gets home he will have you and your family's support to help him cope with this awful news. I am terribly sorry about this. Best of luck!

I must admit that whenever there is a critical issue in a family that all should be told and quickly so time can be arranged for visits, however in this case if only waiting a few days, then tell him when he returns.

My friends brain cancer took her real fast once it hit her brain.......I'd think he'd want to be there for I'm sorry to say goodbyes.

We need to start a prayer chain here right now for your family!

you should tell your brother on the phone, i mean its no joke, your mom is sick and since he is your brother i think he has the right to know...it doesnt matter that its on the phone it just matters that he knows cause its his mom too. and he should know
