i tried to pull it out today and it was really hard and i dont think there is any way of me getting to it the way it is. the front axle is in the way and i cant get to it. if you know what to do let me know thanks

you wont have to jack it up but its going to be close,there isn't much room to get it out,but it will come off without having to jack the engine up,the last one i done i didn't have to,it was a 93 model though,they shouldn't have changed that much,good luck with it.

If your truck is a '96 Dakota 3.9, 4x4, probably not, I didn't have to on my stock '92 Dakota 3.9, 4x4, I went through the wheel well. If it is a full size Ram 1500, I don't know. A little more info would be helpful.
