well does the 360 elite have that....i know they have live and what else does the elite offer that the ps3 doesnt have now...

No, the xbox 360 has nothing like Playstation Home, the only thing the xbox 360 has that the PS3 doesn't is in-game music, which is coming to the PS3 in the near future through a firmware update. The PS3 has a blu ray drive, built in wifi, and bluetooth controllers, the xbox 360 doesn't.

playstation home is more of a second life experience. ps3 owners make an avatar and a virtual appartment where you can show off you achievments which will be displayed as trophies. In playstation home you can go to public places and meet friends or go back to yours or there appartment and just chill out and chat with the aid of a usb keyboard or bluetooth headset you can type messages or with the aid of a bluetooth or usb headset you can actually talk to your friend like your hangin out at her's or his place.
The ps3 definatly has better features than the 360. Being able to use usb or bluetooth keyboards and mouses. Bluetooth headsets instead of headsets that you can only use with the 360. Bluetooth controls which have amazing range if you can mange to hook up ur video to all tv's in the house you could play in it any room and up to seven controls that's 3 more than anyone has ever thought of before. You have the blue-ray player so you can buy blue-ray movies and watch them if full 1080p if you have a tv that good. The ps3 may have a smaller hard drive than the elite but you can go out and buy an ordinary 2.5" hard drive and you got more memory there.
Something microsoft and nintendo have never thought about Folding Home where your consoles processing power can help find cures for disease. The ability to install an operating system is also handy. Free online gameplay unlike xbox live where you have to pay to play. The ps3 is an amazing console and you should read some of the tests they've done to try to kill one and they still lived (an example http://www.ps3vault.com/how-to-kill-a-ps3-console-1975)...
