first calm down lol. This happened to me a while ago and i got it out.
My sister put leave in detangler in my hair and took a COMB and started to brush through it starting from the ends. IF you start at the roots your just going to push all the knots at the bottom. Once you get a little section done at the bottom, move up a tiny bit. USE A LOT OF DETANGLER. either that or conditioner. Just keep doing that and frequenlty put in more conditioner!

It sounds gross, but crack open a few eggs into a bowl. Since you say the knot is big, maybe 6 or 7 eggs. Then mix them together with a fork, making sure the yolks and whites are fully mixed (kinda like you're making breakfast). Then apply to the knot and use your fingers working from the bottom of the knot up. The slippery-ness of the egg will help get the knot out, plus the protein in the egg is an added bonus for your hair. Once the knot starts to loosen up, you can use a pick or comb to help with the rest.

It's gonna be really hard, that happened to my sister once and she had to get it cut off.. then she kept the knot cause it was funny afterwards. It was like the size of a hamster, anyway she tried conditioning it for a really long time, then try a hot oil treatment, it sorta helped out her hair. But her hair was a disaster cause she used to tease her hair alot when she went out and that night she didn't wash her hair and it got tangled when she slept. =)

No don't relax it. Because you have to be combing your hair to relax it, and if you can't comb it, all the relaxer would be applied to the none knot part, and most likely would fry the hair, then she'd have no hair at all. I really sorry I don't know of anything that would work at the moment, but I do know that you shouldn't relax it. Go to a salon, this is a hair emergency! They should know what to do!

hair knots can be really tricky to get out. you're going to need a TON of conditioner (just go right ahead and slather it on her dry hair), you could try mayonnaise also. then work slowly, tediously, and carefully through the whole knot. it's going to take a really long time, but the only way to undo it is to take it little by little. use a very fine comb to pick through the little knots. if this doesn't work, your sister will HAVE to get her hair cut.
hope this helps!

The best thing to do would be get a good detangling conditioner and leave it in for a while(Don't let it dry out) comb it out really slow, it should come right out.

ok jojoba oil, cocnut oil (find at walmart) almond oil, olive oil, regular butter. anything with ALOT of grease and slip. do that place in shower cap and warm up her head with a heated towel from the dryer. let it sit atleast 1hr and then SLOWLY start combing her hair from the bottom up with a wide tooth cob. do not brush her hair or it will make it worse and more broke. do not try a relaxer that will fry her hair and it wont do anything to help. i had a hard tiem even combing that stuff through my hair and it wasnt even knotted

try soaking it in hot olive/vegetable oil. it might help. and use a comb not a brush. i was going to suggest if it doesnt come out mabey to get some cute layers. but if she doesnt want to cut it then i guess not. how did she get it in there? put some butter on it to if the hot oil doesnt work. dont brush it alot try combing it to. i hope this works! good luck! :] (try lots of detangler to!)

Conditioner or leave in conditioner spay and alot of help and patience. Just go really slow and try to untangle alittle at a time. she may have some breakage and could always get it layered to cover it up later but for now just try to use a comb or pick and go a little at a time. Good luck!

I had a huge knot before but not that big. when my haircutter was cutting my hair she put on a lot of some untangling spray and just brushed it out. It hurt a little but it's now gone
