Cant get ISO to work on my PSP?

I recently purchased a PSP and i have software version 3.51.....i made an ISO folder in my memory stick and put the ISO file in there, as directed on several sites....but when i try to open the Memory Stick under Game Menu, it says "There are no games"...does version 3.51 supports ISO games..? if not, do i have to upgrade it to a higher version or downgrade to a lower version?....and if i do have to upgrade/downgrade, how shall i do that...?

You'll have to install a custom firmware. Check www.qj.net for more info.

I think you have to downgrade to lower firmware.
