I guess ALL races that live here forget how you and your ancestors got here right? If history is correct the only REAL amercians are the Native Americans that were already living here before anybody "discovered"amercia.and then what did we do? Oh yea we SLAUGHTERED them ALL and took over the country.Tell me now What number is the poulation of native americans in this country now? I dont think there is many running around Hollywood or the Nba or the White house so stop crticising the "all" illegal immigrants. and go help somone who is less fortunate than you.

i also support LEGAL immigration which is why i dont understand why you would risk your family getting shot, dying in the desert.i know how poor they are over there .i have an uncle that lives in mexico . But they are also hard workers.

Wrong. We were not immigrants, we were settlers. There was no immigration law. Moreover, Native Americans were split over the American Revolution, and some fought with us.

In his book The Wild Frontier: Atrocities during the American-Indian War from Jamestown Colony to Wounded Knee, amateur historian William M. Osborn sought to tally every recorded atrocity in the area that would eventually become the continental United States, from first contact (1511) to the closing of the frontier (1890), and determined that 9,156 people died from atrocities perpetrated by Native Americans, and 7,193 people died from those perpetrated by Europeans.

Did we slaughter the ALL? The most important point to remember is that the American frontier was not subject to any immigration law. My ancestors came here legally. Native Americans were also migrants.

Well, America wasn't a country yet when we first came, so technically there were no immigration laws. Also, the Indians were nomads, and didn't claim ownership over the land - so they wouldn't have had the concept of invaders down in the first place. Lastly, the Native Americans were NOT Mexicans - sure, many may have had the same skin color, but that'd be like saying the French should be allowed to take over the UK just because both peoples are white.

This is such a moot point.

1. There were no immigration laws when Europeans came to this continent, so it wasn't illegal.
2. Native Americans fought eachother over territory all the time and came here via the Bering Strait... so by your logic, they are illegal too!
3. I was born here, so calling me an immigrant is simply asinine.
4. Even if I did buy your argument, all it tells me is that it's not a good idea to let a bunch of illegals overrun your territory.

But if you feel so strongly about it, lead by example and leave the Continent. If your 1/32 Native American or whatever, then you can leave via the Bering Straight.

What part of illegal don't you understand? That's what makes them a criminal. We live in a country of laws. When the leaders reward criminals and punish those that obey the law there is no reason for anyone to obey the law. It's illegal for me not to pay taxes. But if you wont make immigrants obey our laws, why should anyone be expected to obey laws

This is not a new argument from the pros as one person thought. There only 4 or 5 basic arguments the pros recycle over and over. Here they are in case you are new to the immigration section

We are all immigrants
Illegals just want a better life
The race card
The Aztlan myth
We stole the land from Mexico

So that about sums up what you will see over and over. There are those that attempt to try variations, but they all can fit nicely in the above excuses.

You're right , up to a point . In the early days European countries thought it was their sacred duty to take over non-European territiories , by force if necessary .
That was then , this is now . Now all countries have immigration laws . Mexico will not permit any non-Mexican sneaking into their country , but thinks we should welcome millions of their poor .
Compare the past with the past , or the present with the present . Anyone who sneaks into a foreign country illegally is a law breaker . They should be treated the same as any law breaker .

There were no immigration laws when this country was settled. Yes wars were fought for the land. Now come and live in the present. There are laws now and should be followed.

No, honey, most of our ancestors were LEGAL immigrants. There's the rub! Further, like most of the Mexicans who come here ILLEGALLY, they tended to be the same race but different ethnicities. I couldn't care less who comes here as immigrants, so long as they are LEGAL like my ancestors were. The ILLEGALITY is the problem! Get your facts straight!
