bike lanes are legal if put in place by the local authority or highways agency unfortunately car owners think bikes should not be on the roads.it is all very well having these lanes but proper regulations need to put in place to allow proper and safe use..

Check with your local police, USING THE NON-EMERGENCY NUMBER INSTEAD OF 911, to see if parking in a bike lane is legal. May be a problem there they are not aware of or need to ask their officers to enforce.
May be a problem you need to bring to the city council as well.

no they are not, bike riders don't pay tax to contribute to the maintainance of the roads, nor are thy insured or M O T'd. its just your councils way of using up money before the end of the financial year

i c them but its so close to passin cars i use the pavement...for my own safty
but yes they are legal but parkin cars on them isnt is theres a parkin bay it shold be to the left of the cars (if ur in the UK)
