How should they be dealt with? There are a LOT of single mums that have an inkling or know for a fact that their new man is sexually interested in/molesting their children and turn a blind eye, because " they love him" or they want his extra income, a man about the house etc etc.
I think if it is proved and or admitted that the mother did know about it and failed to stop it or report it. The children should be taken of her and she should serve a custodial sentence of at least 10 years.

No. I believe the mother should be put in a mental institution. If half the world thought like you, then the jail house would be full of damsels in distress and our pensions would have to pay for these half wits.

Ok when u say a lot i disagree, yes there are some but not alot.
But the rest i agree with. I am a single mum, and if i ever do date again, and get any inkling that he was doing anything to my daughter he would be straight out the door. No love could be greater than that of your child.

Firstly if a man does awful things to children he should be stoned to death or worse.The single mum must be stupid to not stop it whatever the circumstances and deserves to have children taken off her and be punished.
But if the mother does not know and it all and it comes out ,how does she prove her innocence of not knowing.

I totally agree that such "mothers" should serve time. However, you can't take away the responsibility from the men themselves.
But - is it so common?
