Honor thy father and thy mother....even if you don't like her religion. You need to talk to her about how you feel and how much this is bothering you. Respect her right to choose her religion but ask her to respect your right to your opinion. Come to an agreement ...even if it is right to disagree. There are many other issues that you could be in tune with.

Well what kind of religion is it?
If she a satanist, you should probably go.
Otherwise, you do know that you dont have to believe what your mom believes right?

I'm sure she loves you very much so maybe you should try talking to her about it. If she knows it makes you uncomfortable, maybe she can explain why she chooses to practice this religion to help you understand her viewpoint. And if you still can't handle it, then maybe you can ask her not to practice while you are around.

And remember--the great thing about our world is that we CAN be different & make decisions that make us happy. Religion is a touchy subject to a lot of people & most religions teach that you should treat others as you want to be treated. So just talk to your mom & try to be sensitive. You wouldn't want her to not like you because of your religion would you?

Good luck!!

Relax! not all moms r perfect. i was brought up cathloic, church, confirmation, blah blah blah. when i turned 18 I told her i am not going to church again. Religion is a foundation, somewhat necessary. You do not have to believe what your mom does, but regretfully, do what she says til u r legal. I commend u dearly for you r only 13, yet have your firm beliefs. Admirable! sometimes we must walk through disagreeable paths to get to our destination. Lots of people do even know where that is. dont let go of your beliefs, if u can't share them, put them in a lil pocket behind your heart. look at them when down and add to 'em when your up! Your foundation is solid

Is your mother a witch or something? If the rest of the family doesn't mind, talk to them and see how they feel about it. It might be a good idea to talk to your mother about it and really tell her how you feel.

She chose her religion, some day you will be old or mature enough to chose or not. It's her life.
