Many times throughout history non Christians have done their best to prove that the Bible is historically and geographically false. How many times has this happened, probably hundreds if not thousands of times.
No one has every been successful.
Many of these non Christians have done that research and then written book to show the proof that the bible is valid.
The most recent two cases are Lee Strobel, the atheist Legal Editor of the Chicago Tribune whose books include:
The Case for Christ
The Case for Faith
The Case for a Creator
And then there is a Muslim Terrorist/Cleric who was recently asked by his Emir to read the Bible and write a book proving it to be false.
His story is found on this link:
http://www.dreamsandvisions.com/video/high/khalil_high.wmv
That is a huge video file with English sub-titles, I'd suggest you right click on the link above, then save it to your hard disk and listen to it later.
In contract people from other religions have been proving other holy books false.
Recently a bunch of Mormons who were paid professors at Brigham Young University, did a research project hoping to prove the Book of Mormon to be true.
Geographically and Archaeologists have never found any evident that the Book of Mormon is true.
So these BYU guys made the following hypothesis:
If the Book of Mormon is true, there should be DNA evidence linking those Jews who live in Israel today with native American Indians.
They spent millions of dollars of Mormon money on this project and so far the DNA tests prove that the native American ( Indians ) and the Jews from Israel are NOT related.
You can learn about that by typing into Google "Book Mormon DNA" without the quotes.
Here are some of the hits you'll get:

DNA research and Mormon scholars changing basic beliefs
By Patty Henetz, Associated Press
SALT LAKE CITY — Plant geneticist Simon Southerton was a Mormon bishop in Brisbane, Australia when he woke up the morning of Aug. 3, 1998 to the shattering conclusion that his knowledge of science made it impossible for him to believe any longer in the Book of Mormon.
Two years later he started writing Losing a Lost Tribe: Native Americans, DNA and the Mormon Church, published by Signature Books and due in ctores next month. Along the way, he found a world of scholarship that has led him to conclude The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints belief is changing, but not through prophesy and revelation.

So here we have Mormon Scientists proving the Book of Mormon to be false.
And in contrast we have Muslims and Atheists writing books proving the Bible is true.
That's why the Bible is reliable and other holy books are not.
What can be tested about the Bible, when it speaks about the earth has always been proven true.
What can be tested about other holy books is consistantly being proven false.

Unlike other books that claim to be Scripture (such as the Book of Mormon), the Bible's accuracy and reliability have been proved and verified over and over again by archaeological finds produced by both believing and non-believing scholars and scientists. This includes verification for numerous customs, places, names, and events mentioned the the Bible.
One among many examples is the fact that for many years the existence of the Hittites (a powerful people who lived during the time of Abraham) was questioned because no archaeological digs had uncovered anything about them. Critics claimed the Hittites were pure myth. But today the critics are silenced. Abundant archaeological evidence for the existence of the Hittites during the time of Abraham has been uncovered.

Because the Bible is God breathed as it says that in the Bible which means the Bible and those other holy books aren't true at all since they aren't God breathed books like the Bible is

I believe this would be obvious for anyone who has ever studied them. First look at the message logically. Some books advocate killing, and in others we are reincarnated, or even go into nothingness. Looking at the Bible..It is accurate in what history it gives, and in science in what it says about the universe. Lets also not forget the biological and medical aspects.. bathing, blood circulation, and the avoidance of certain meat.
So being accurate here, and being ahead of science by a few thousand years, why not trust it for the spiritual things.

See answer to question on the reliability of the Bible.
Only the Bible is reliable because only the Bible demonstrates authorship from outside this universe by containing information only available to one outside time. The copious fulfilled prophecies of the Bible both attest to the veracity of the text AND assure all that the other prophecies will also be fulfilled . . . including the judgment of the wicked who like to pretend that their rinky-dink excuses mean something. They will be judged for rejecting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

you don't just blindly accept it......if you study the biblical prophesies and the proof that they have come about as predicted, this is good proof of the truth of the prophesy....
for example, the books of Ezechiel , Jeremiah, and Isaiah, all prophesied that the Jerusalem would be destroyed by their enemies, and they would be scattered to the ends of the earth....and then, finally they would return to their homeland in the last days before their messiah would appear. and this would result in the rebirth of the state of Israel, a recovery of barren land into fertile land. They would also speak their native Hebrew, after having not spoken it for the most of the entire period of exile. This has all come true.

I believe in The Bible because Jesus came here and did exactly what was promised, and he never said that the Bible is not true. God has ways of protecting His Word.

The people over the years have tried to destroy the Bible. They have tried to stop it being put in other languages. It has made it through everything. It is the inspired Word of God. His love letter to all of us. If it wasn't important then why is Satan trying to stop it from going on.

The Bible is the name given to the revelation of God to man
contained in sixty-six books orpamplets bound together and forming one book and only one, for it has in reality one author
and one purpose and plan, and is the development of one scheme of the redemption of man.
