The religions that arose out of the Mideast thought the Anannaki were "gods", when in fact they were humans in that region mining gold. This tale was plagiarized when someone wrote the garden of Eden myth. In the original version, the "snake" was an Anannaki trying to help the humans and "eve" was a male.

These folks enslaved the humans in that region to work in these mines, and wanted them slaving instead of having sex. That's where the "evil" of sex is those religions came from.

The catholic church banned birth control, because at that period in time they felt that it was against God's Will. If you were meant to have kids than you will, if you aren't than you won't. Of course depending on which area you live in they have now since updated their views.

That was the original plan.
Hence the line "Go forth and multiply".

If you and your spouse are Christian and have 10 kids that are Christian, and they each have 5 kids that are Christian, that makes 62 Christians in 3 generations.
