Haven't they noticed it's not just one thing any more? It's thousands of recent events! So that "one thing-one person" excuse is no longer valid. Calling for the death of a teacher who was only helping Muslim children is just the LATEST thing, not the only thing.

Please tell me, especially Muslims, why are so many Muslims really ready to be violent for Allah, Muhammad and Islam?

I think this is a very serious question. I realize there is violence everywhere, done by all different people of different faiths, but Muslims are the ones openly doing it for Allah, on a regular basis.

Thanks and have a great day.

Some of you are missing what I asked. I said I know violence happens in any group you wish to name. I also said Muslims are the ones who openly say they are doing it for Allah, Islam or Muhammad! Then they violently protest in the name of their religion. They call for death because of Muhammad's name.

I doubt you've heard of any bank robber saying this is for Jesus or Buddha!!

سيف الله بطل ‎جهاد‎ - The perception of violence is coming from the groups of Muslims waving knives in the air and calling for death! I respect the right to believe as you wish. I do not respect demanding respect. That's just intimidation and blackmail! Do you respect a Mafia Godfather like the rest of that "family" does? That form of "respect" is simply fear.

Purple Rain - I don't watch CNN, lol. I know only one Muslim family (our kids go to school together). What does that have to do with my question? Is the violence made up? 9-11 never happened? London and Spain bombings (among thousands of others!)? The riots in France are untrue? Riots over a cartoon were made up also? The Sudanese Muslims yelling Execution by firing squad are fictional characters? The Taliban? Al Qaeda? Saudi Arabia? Pakistan? Genocide in Sudan? Van Gogh murdered? Rushdie ought to be murdered? etc., etc., etc.

What source do you trust? I try to use many, can't rely on just one.

I've always found it humorous (in a pathetic kind of way) that when something happens to further reveal the true nature of islam...that several OTHER groups of muslims point at the (current news) barbarians and say "it's THEM, not us...WE would never do anything like THAT".

Then, another incident...more finger pointing in the "other direction".

Then, another incident...more finger pointing in the "other direction".

Then, another incident...more finger pointing in the "other direction".

Then, another incident...more finger pointing in the "other direction".

Pretty soon, all of the muslims are pointing at each other.

"religion of peace" indeed.

Oh, as far as that lame statement of "it's in the constitution so it's okay to murder...ooops...punish her for being so insensitive to our idol muhammed" goes...just because it's in a "constitution" or codified does NOT make it moral, just, reasonable, civilized or right.

I'm not sure where to start.

Muslims first of all try to incorporate god into every part of their life....islam doesn't stop at religious services.....the quran covers politics and social life too.. The whole praying 5-times a day thing, its to be constantly reminded of god. Before a muslim does practically anything they say "in the name of god"......eating...driving....starting their work day......turn on the tv...... Even if someone isn't religious, they'll probably do this by habit..... a "muslim" bank robber would probably say "in the name of god" before he robs the bank.

Muhammad was just a man, muslims hold him in high regard and get sensitive when offensive things are said about him. Which this teddy bear thing shouldn't be.........but even if it was....there is nothing in the quran saying this woman should be executed. It would be a sin if she was executed.....
Yeah there are "muslims" screaming she should die in the name of god or for muhammad's dignity....but this isn't islam....the quran doesn't say this. This area is pretty damn racist too.....another big no-no in islam.... Muhammad's last sermon...he explicitly stated that all races are equal..... These people are racist though.......does islam support racism or are these people not following their religion?

This is why muslims get pissy about these comments. Few people arent' following their religion and all of islam gets judged for it.

Lastly, international news is very different than local news. The type of stories you're gonna here on the 11 o'clock news are not going to be the ones you hear on CNN.
You're not gonna hear something like a muslim guy who risked his life to save an elderly women trapped on the 11th floor of a burning building. You're only gonan hear about violence or controversial topics. So all the media about islam is always international and always negative.
I mean there are probably countless times a teacher has let a student name their stuffed animal muhammad and nothing has happened, but thats not a news story...i mean why would you report a story about that. Now this small part of the world does somethign crazy and it reflects on every muslim.

It's called radical fundamentalism. I hate to point the finger but Christians have historically been just as guilty of extreme violence as modern day fundamental Muslims.

Muslims tend to be very devoted to their religious beliefs. It ends up being the blind leading the willing. They will follow a religious leader to the death if he says God demands it. Anytime you have one person influencing the minds of others, you will get radical and sometimes violent behavior.

Remember David Koresh or Jim Jones???

Muslims may be the ones doing it now, but Christians committed violence in the name of Jesus for centuries.

It's kind of like an adult criticizing the behavior of a teenager while denying they did the same thing when they were that age.

Christianity has been around about 2000 years.

Islam has been around about 1000 years.

When Christianity was 1000 years old they burned witches and slaughtered thousands of innocent people. They carried on these practices for hundreds of years after that while they took over other countries and rationalized it by saying they were "saving their souls" by killing them, or at times, they denied that people of other races even had souls. They also enslaved people right here in the USA; and it didn't end until about 140 years ago.

I know people will say "this is the 21st century." It is, but only for Christians, not for Muslims.

In addition, every Muslim country in the world is still struggling to recover from being taken over by a Christian nation in the past. I believe Islamic terrorism is the direct result of the colonialization inflicted on them by other countries in the past.

The perception that we are ready for violence may come from the uncompromising stance we hold regarding our religion. It's not that some of the Muslims in the Sudan reacted, but how they reacted.

We don't disrespect people's religion. We don't disrespect the Prophets. We don't bow our backs to none other than Allah (SWT). We speak the truth, even if against our ownself.

Not everyone of us Muslims are perfect. But, we strive to be perfect in the practics of our deen.

We don't have to turn the other cheek, although it's HIGHLY recommended by none other than Allah (SWT). And THAT'S found in the Qur'an, Alhahamdullah. To that point, we. or atleast I demand respect. One doesn't have to like me or my CHOSEN way of life, but it will be respected.

It's not my intention to come off hard or anything, but it is what it is.

Hope this helped.

So I guess every time a catholic gang bang shoots some innocent person we need to scream those crazy catholics or every time a baptist robs the bank all baptist are violent thieves..... What most Muslims are saying is do not blame all Muslims for those that have done bad in the name of Islam. Islam is a religion of peace even if some followers do convey this, it is! Like any other religion you have those extremist, look at Jim Jones of the Jonestown massacre and David Koresh of the incident at Waco, guess what they were both billed as Christians.

If it is down to numbers, the christian west has killed over 300,000 muslims. Most have died as colateral damage by so called coalition forces, under the command of a self claimed christian fundamentalist GW Bush.
Two wrongs never make a right but if they ever decide to totaly redress the balance the west will be a blood bath.
As to the teacher, she has under their law commited a crime, and must do her time. Just like the defendants in the London court, charged with blasphemy of the name of Jesus. They face life in prison, even in England.
Far too many people are ready to judge before they have all the facts..!!
