i used to use them for just spaghetti, and other pasta dishes. sometimes Spanish rice or a tomato gravy. my boyfriend is from Pakistan and he eats curry a lot so he taught me how to cook it. he prefers fresh ingredients but when he is at work and i cook it for him i go straight to the can. basically anything that calls for fresh u can substitute the canned for.
