I personally am atheist, and believe in evolution. How do you disprove:

skeletons of early humans are changing through time and fossil records?

and why do so many people believe a book that some one said was made by God? you cannot prove that the bible is the word of god, and that god just "made" the universe out of nothing. Also, the bible says that the Earth is 6,000 years old. that is bullshit because we have carbon dating that can prove we are almost 6 BILLION years old, and light from 10 BILLION light-year-away galaxies proves that the light from them has been in space longer than the earth has been here!!! please, prove to me that there is a "creator" that spontaneously "crated" us out of nothing.

ok, i'm sorry about the carbon dating, but don't you think that the universe is too orderly to have been spontaneously created that way and not have had to learn (evolve) from itself?

i didn't mean carbon-dating, i meant radioactive decay which takes billions of years...

it's in the bible so it must be true?
one of my questions was how can we prove that the bible is God's work?

Maybe the ID people got it right .There is the tacit assumption that if something is designed by something intelligent it is designed to work well and we all know that's simply not the case .There are some really complex things like computers that are horribly designed and don't work well at all and the only way that people can ever successfully use these badly designed things is to overcome the glaring weaknesses in the original design.
If people were designed by an intelligence, the designer did a lousy job and did not marry well the physiology with the anticipated world that the design had to function in.
People only became a successful species because they used their intelligence to over come the huge flaws in the original design

Oh look, Lady Phoenix lying again.

Scientists know for absolute certainty that you cannot carbon date something that recently died. Second they also know carbon 14 dating does not work very well on plants since most plants seem to not intake carbon 14 at all. Lastly, Carbon dating can only occur up to a maximum of 50k years ago because of the half life of carbon 14. Thereby eliminating all of her argument and hopefully educating the rest of the world about the lies associated with radiometric dating.

Why don't people use real sources instead of lying?

'Prove' = 'test'.

When ID makes statements which can be tested by observation or experiment, then it will be 'tested' in the scientific sense. And if it goes on successfully doing that, then it will deserve to be considered as a scientific theory.

Until then, it remains no more than an idea.

PS There is evidence that the earth is 4 or 5 (not 6) billion years old, but it is NOT carbon dating, which is limited to a few tens of thousands of years. The half-life of carbon-14 is only about 5000 years, which puts an upper limit on the age it can measure.

PPS That's OK about the carbon dating, and yes it is radio-dating using uranium/thorium etc:. ID isn't a theory in its own right: it's a comment on evolution, saying in effect that it couldn't have happened the way it claims. The alternative it puts forward might (academically) be correct, but it isn't testable in any objective way, so falls outside science.

I read your question and there is only one answer. Read the BIBLE. It answers all the questions you have. if you don't believe inGod you will never believe in or understand or answer questions of intelligent design. Everything that the BIBLE has said about creation has been proven by science. The nly problem is they will not admit to it. All of this creation stuff has so many holes in it that it would be more of a belief to believe in that. A great web page to check out is one that is done by a friend of mine that is also a scientist. http://www.creationseminar.net/ he has the answers you are looking for. feel free to email him and ask him your questions.

each and every complicated device that I even have considered, and considered the muse of, has had some variety of intelligence at the back of it (oftentimes human). Any time that a complicated device is uncovered to random activities, it gets much less orderly. Yahoo solutions does not lend itself to rigorous proofs, yet learn entropy. it is exciting.

It's logically impossible to "prove" the existence of a Creator, since such a Creator, by definition, would exist outside the realm of science.

Ah, yes...let's talk about how old the earth is....

"Dr. Libby and the evolutionist crowd have assumed that all plant and animal life utilize carbon-14 equally as they do carbon-12. To be grammatically crass, this ain’t necessarily so. Live mollusks off the Hawaiian coast have had their shells dated with the carbon-14 method. These test showed that the shells died 2000 years ago! This news came as quite a shock to the mollusks that had been using those shells until just recently.

We’ve listed FIVE FAULTY ASSUMPTIONS [emphasis mine] here that have caused overestimates of age using the carbon-14 method. The list of non-compliant dates from this method is endless. Most evolutionists today would conclude that carbon-14 dating is – at best – reliable for only the last 3000 to 3500 years. There is another reason that carbon-14 dating has yielded questionable results – HUMAN BIAS." [emphasis mine]

"What would happen if a dinosaur bone were carbon dated?--At Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Scientists dated dinosaur bones using the Carbon dating method. The age they came back with was only a few thousand years old.

This date did not fit the preconceived notion that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. So what did they do? They threw the results out....this is common practice....they do this many times, using a different dating method each time. The results can be as much as 150 million years different from each other! - how's that for an "exact" science?"

"Radiocarbon dating is still a young science and even though there has been done a lot of research we must understand that each individual tends to accept those data which fit his expectations. What I am attempting to do now is point out some areas of cautions or possible pitfalls in relying too heavily on such dating methods."

ALL HAIL THE god(????) of SCIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the Bible, the ONE thing that you cannot deny is the fulfillment of prophesies....

"The American theologian Wilbur Smith writes that:

"The ancient world has many different devices for determining the future, known as divination, but not in the entire gamut of Greek and Latin literature, even though they used the words prophet and prophecy, can we find any real specific prophecy of a great historic event to come in the distant future, nor any prophecy of a Saviour to arrive in the human race.
[...]
Mohammedanism cannot point to any prophecies of the coming of Mohammed uttered hundreds of years before his birth. Neither can the founders of any cult in this country [the USA] rightly identify any ancient text specifically foretelling their appearance.
Yet, as Nicky Gumbol observes, ``In the case of Jesus, he fulfilled over three hundred propecies (spoken by different voices over 500 years), including twenty-nine major prophecies fulfilled on a single day - the day he died.'' Since many of these prophecies were to do with the place and manner of his death, and even the place of his birth, he could hardly have deliberately set out to fulfil them!

Just suppose the chance of each one of those prophecies being fulfilled in isolation was a very generous 50%. Then the chance of three hundred such prophecies all being fulfilled is the same as that of three hundred consecutive coin-tosses all coming up tails: one in 2037035976334486086268445688409378161051468393665936250636140449354381299763336706183397376 - that is, about one in two million million million million million million million million million million million million million million million. These are by no means exact numbers, as any mathematician who knows anything about probability theory will tell you; but it's a starting point for thinking about these issues.

There is much, much, more. For example, in Ezekiel 26:14, God prophesies to the city of Tyre, ``I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt, for I the LORD have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.'' And so it is: the site of what was a great city in ancient times is now a bare rock, and fishermen spread their nets out on it to dry."

Don't bother, the believers are too ignorant and they have to insist that "something", i.e. God created everything.

I have always said the they could come up with HALF the evidence of evolution, just HALF, I wouldn't mind it being taught in school.
No one has been able to do so yet.

Lady: Read the Torah. Jesus didn't fulfill the prophecies.
