Not really a problem. Cats sometimes like moving water as it's 'fresh' and not stale like sitting water in a dish. We change out our water dishes daily usually two times a day if able.
One of my cats sleeps in the sink, another drinks from the toilet (only when fresh of course!) and another loves to drink from the sink. It's not really a problem but if it bothers you just keep kitty out of the bathroom when you go in and close the door when you're not using it.

I didn't have a problem with Snuffy loving water in the bathroom sink. But we had one of those single lever taps that you raise up to turn the water on. After coming home from work 3 days in a row to find the water running, and arguing over who was responsible, we finally caught him in the act. He bumped it with his head to make it come on and drank to his content, then batted water all over the place playing with it.
We couldn't keep the door closed as that's where his litter box was. So we ended up buying a regular faucet and he was stumped as to how to turn it on.
I think, had he lived longer, he'd have figured it out. Smartest cat that ever owned us. I still miss him.

It's a problem? I think it is endearing! I had a Siamese kitten who loved the water until she was about a year old and then she stopped. I currently have an older kitten, who leaps into the bath tub with us, flings the water out of his bowl and the dogs bowl AND uses his hand/paw to scoop up the water and drink, rather then lap it. It's just how he is and we love him this way!

My cat is exactly the same way! He will freak out if I go in the bathroom without him and close the door. He's a little over a year old and he's ALWAYS been obsessed with water.

Yes-my cat tries to get in the shower with me too. He also jumps on top of the toilet and watches the water swirl around whenever it flushes. He often attempts to play with the toilet water-it fascinates him. Now baths he doesn't like-but if it is his choice to "play" with the water he will in a heartbeat. He just learned how to flush the toilet-hello high water bill! I didn't even teach him-he just watched me then tried it. lol

Surprisingly, cats who LOVE water aren't uncommon. Not just Bengals either. Remember, cats are every bit as individual; unique and weird as humans. You really must see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YErrJPsiTg&feature=related
Look at the related videos too.Your eyes will go wide! lol

that's not a problem. it's not like water is bad for them. some cats actually like water. Mine has come in the shower with me before.
As for following you around, she is happy that she actually has a home and a family now.
