Official alpha version comes in spring. Beta version will come out earlier - check www.homebetatrial.com fro details.
Ethernet cable (RJ-45) is the cable, most common for internet connections. It's used for PS3 too. Or you can plug in your PS3 to internet via wi-fi (wi-fi router needed).

Home has not been released yet... unless it came out last night. The graphics are not terrible on the DS but much worse than the PSP. An ethernet cable is a cable that looks like a phone cable that allows you to hook up your PS3 to your high speed modem or router so that you can do software updates and download things to your PS3 from the internet.

The home on PS3 comes out in spring of 2008 and it's supposed to be great. I don't know anything about the DS home. An ethernet cable looks like a phone cable you connect to the PS3 from your computer modem to connect it online.
