Iam merging plain dough and red dough together to look like a candy cane. It is hard to roll the dough out with it not falling apart. Is there a better way?

your dough is too dry if you add a little more moisture (butter, Milk, whatever the recipie calls for) it will roll easier make sure you only add a little or your dough will become sticky.

Try keeping it moist with a little water and not using too much flour on the table.

I'm sorry, but that is a really hard project. YOu should probably try a different material, even when it works your cookies will kind of like spread out and look wrong.
