I'm 13, and I babysit for the people across the street from me. My parents make me come home at 10:30 (on weekends), they say I need sleep. I don't think this is fair. Do you? What do you think is a reasonable curfew?

I am a parent of a 14yr.old and on weekends if she were to babysit across the street providing that I know the family WELL I would probably allow her to stay over past 11:00 pm. Otherwise 11:00 pm would be the cut off. That's seems fair to me at this age! The only reason is that my family is settling down for the night and I need to know that my daughter is safe at home with us at a reasonable time. This way doors are locked and I would like to think that my house is safer than her taking the chance of being out on the street late at night by herself-there are too many crazies out there! I value my daughter's safety!

I say that curfew of 10:30 is good, when I was your age I have to be in a 8:00. So be greatful that your parents are beening fair with you.

I 15 turning 16 in feb and I can only stay out till 8 ! Because theres certain creeps aka rapers out there and it is true u need to get a certain amount of hours to sleep. If it the weekend im sure 11 would be okey but your only 13? your still pretty young for a late curfew

You do need sleep and to be off the streets (so to speak)as well. If you are out with friends late at night and you are past a city curfew, how would you feel to be taken to the police station, and then have your parents call to come get you. Or if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you could get caught up in something that is out of your control.

I'm 14
And my curfew on a normal night out with my friends is 10:30 to 11
but normally i go to my friends houses so if were out till 11:30 12
my parents wont know and her parents go to bed
But my parents aren't strict
But they do care

I would think that 1030-11pm would be good, but i was a hell razor when i was 13 so maybe your partens are just trying to keep you petected i wish my partes cared enought.
