NO......Sorry Ohio State laws requires that any handgun LEGALLY used to hunt Deer must have a 5" minimum length barrel and be of 357 Magnum Caliber or larger...... 38 Special caliber is NOT legal

Not with any level of success, you can't.
Handguns are not really like rifles and shotguns-good at a distance. Most hunting is done at greater distances than the effective range of a .38 pistol.

Even if it were legal, a .38 spl. is very impotent in hunting anything bigger than bobcats.

don't really know for sure but why would you want to? i would not use anything less than a .357 mag
